Today I’m diving into the ocean to have some fun painting deep blues and greens, and embellishing the result with gold and white. For the ultimate in relaxation, just explore the colors and the feeling of the brush moving over the paper, and the sight of the paint blending magically as the colors meet one another in the water. Delicious!

I was loving the first layer of the painting and when you turned it upside down and started covering that beautiful yellow area with the dark green I was yelling Diane NOOOO! Well it was almost like you knew what you were doing. Hahaha It turned out so beautiful. You're wonderful, you give people courage to see what they can do. Love and thanks to you.❤👏

I love it when you just start off putting different colours of paint to paper and the painting organically turns into something beautiful. I really like the colours and the underwater theme it turned into!

I remember you showing us and recommending the nature art book (at the start of this video) a while back because I then bought it and have realised, after flicking through it I put it on the bookshelf and haven’t used it. I just didn’t realise how long ago that was and how I’d also had the book until now. Sometimes I flick through it intending to do something but can’t find a prompt I like or feel in the mood for and put it away again, so your idea of ignoring the prompts, or loosely using the prompts as an idea is a great one. I don’t know why I didn’t think of doing that, even though I now remember you saying you did this sometimes in the book back then. Thank you, as always, for your inspiration and, as an animal lover myself, thank you for rescuing the chickens and giving them a safe space to live ❤ It was nice to see the pets snoozing in their beds while you paint.

Just to let you know, I sent you an email and asked about the YouTube membership for the new videos in your recent newsletter and you’ve answered my question in this video 😊

Loved the painting, it looks great whichever way up you have it. I love the fact that you dont edit which is such a breath of fresh air, au natruelle is definitely the way forward. I love the way you think out loud and take us on a journey through your imagination. Very much inspired by your art and feel excited about creating again 🎉

When you first started I would never have imagined this would be the final painting. I enjoyed the casual and playful art, it shows how much you love doing the art and your relationship with your colors…..🥰

This is absolutely beautiful Diane! I really must do this type of painting more. It seems to be a fantastic way to let go of being in too much control and a great way to let the imagination take over. You’ve given me the perfect way to start tomorrow’s painting. Thank you ❤

I have been looking for valuable instruction on YouTube for about 5 years now. In a moment of clarity I remembered I had the most successful results with you Diane. I am ready to learn from one teacher and avoid the confusion of too much information.
