Pure adventure and tropical paradises: ZDF correspondent Johannes Hano and his team travel to the "Treasure Islands" in the Pacific in a single-engine propeller plane. It's a journey into a world that's difficult to access: In the past, it took weeks to reach the widely scattered archipelagos. Those who grow up there learn to cope with unique challenges.

The two-part ZDF documentary "Treasure Islands in the Pacific – Living with the Ocean" is an adventurous journey into a world that amazes, revealing how precious the treasures the planet harbors, even in its remote corners, are, and how great the challenges are in unearthing or preserving them.
