I’ve been trying to watch this video every night before bed. I don’t make it passed the first stack 😴💤

Fun fact: The ‘Elemental Hero’ archetype in Yugioh GX is based of DC and Marvel comics superheroes and my personal favourite cards of all time 😅

1:16:44 😅
A bit of info;
Those are called types in Yu-Gi-Oh and they indicate what sort of monster a card is.
There are 25 or so different types of monsters in Yu-Gi-Oh as of 2025.
In the top right corner is the monster's attribute.
There are 7 of them in the game (Earth, Fire, Water, Wind, Light, Dark and Divine-Beast)

The symbols next to the spell and trap cards indicate what type of the spell/trap card it is.
For traps there are 3 types: normal (no symbol), continuous (infinity symbol) and a counter trap (arrow symbol).
For the spells there are: normal (no symbol), continuous (infinity symbol), quick-play (lightning symbol), equip (plus symbol), field-spell (compass symbol) and ritual (flame symbol).
They all serve different purpose in the game.
Ritual spells are used for summoning rirual monsters (light blue cards with stars),
Continuous spells/traps stay face up on the field (game mat) once activated until some other effect removes them.
Normal spells/traps are one and done deal, upon activating and resolving a card, they are sent to the graveyard,
Field-spell cards stay on the field in the special zone designated for field spells and are used to primarily boost your own strategy. They can sort of be described as lands in MTG...
Counter trap cards usually 'counter your opponents plays, be it negating their summons of monsters, activation of effects, etc.
And so on...
