If you're into graphic comics, read thè one titled the same as the movie, "My friend Dahmer". It was written and illustrated by a classmate of Dahmer's, whose perspective gives a lot of insight into Dahmer's change throughout high school, as well as what was going on in his family, from a kid's point of view. It CERTAINLY doesn't excuse his crimes, but it's safe to say, his parents unintentionally neglected him nearly to death...hence the abandonment issues mentioned here .

So many people who would still be alive if we were a lot tougher on murderers and pedos.  Abolish plea deals and parole.  Period.  If you’re sentenced to life, then life it is. You come out in a body bag, if you live in a state that doesn’t allow death penalty, which all states should.   There aren’t any serious consequences for these animals, so why would they change their ways when they’re released after serving hardly any time at all?  Psychiatric evaluators are a joke.  People can fake mental illness.

I honestly wonder if there was play station and Xbox and internet back in the 60’s-late 80’s if some of these guys wouldn’t have killed but just became gamers obviously some would be trolls, but I do wonder if they could have had at least online friends they may have not killed. Some I believe is due to boredom loneliness and depression and no outlet for the anxiety.
