Watching them then and now brings back good memories, but hearing about the struggles behind the laughter was honestly tough. Still one of the most memorable sitcom families of the 90s.
Man this was a nostalgic ride 😭 Family Matters was my childhood fr. Didn’t expect so many ups and downs in their lives tho… kinda sad in parts. Some of them changed a lot! Video was engaging, kept me watching 👌📺
Just finished this and man 2026 really has me feeling all kinds of ways about the Winslow family. It is so heartbreaking seeing that we almost lost Jo Marie Payton recently but so glad she is a fighter and getting better after that health scare keep pushing Harriette. Seeing Mother Winslow and Myra Monkhouse on the tribute list always hurts because Rosetta LeNoire and Michelle Thomas were such lights on the show and gone way too soon. It is wild to see Jaleel White is basically a mogul now with his Purple Urkle brand and even hosting new game shows that is such a vibe lol. Also still love seeing Reginald VelJohnson and Jo Marie reunite on tv recently they will always be my favorite tv parents. Seeing the struggles Darius McCrary is going through with his recent legal issues and that scary injury he mentioned in court is really tough to watch but I hope he finds his way back. This show taught us so much about family and love so seeing where they are all these years later is just a huge trip. Thanks for the update on our favorite neighbors.
