It's not nostalgia, it's ownership. We want to own the things we pay for with complete autonomy.

That 85% stat includes DLC and games that are ONLY available digitally. Makes you wonder what the splits are on games that are available both digitally and physically…

I feel like the people that buy 60-70 digital games are the same ones who get their food door dashed and complain about the cost 😂

The young people may not care about physical games but they will care when their "rental" game purchase doesn't work no more.

When the younger generation has the license pulled on their entire collection they are going to learn the hard way.

Is disturbing to see how people are complacent with owning less paying more and having less control.

The defeatist attitude towards Sony's decision in this video is honestly ridiculous. FIGHT

The argument about younger generations not caring about owning physical has some issues. Teens generally don’t have to support themselves financially and have their parents providing for them. Once they get into the cluster of real life and start having to pay for their own stuff, they will quickly realize how hard they are getting shafted by digital marketplaces and want to buy used as well.

Full pricing power. It's like when you go to a farmer's market expecting a good price, but they're charging more than the grocery store 😂

I'm glad I'm at the age where I can just collect for physical Switch/Switch 2 and physical PS4/PS5 for the rest of my life and be happy.

Did the internet already forgot?
„2023 Insomniac/PlayStation data leak“

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End - 83% physical

Sackboy: A Big Adventure - 77% physical

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart - 76% physical

God of War Ragnarök - 76% physical

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut - 71% physical

Demon’s Souls - 70% physical

Sonys own data breach proves that the narrative they are pushing is just a lie.
It’s only about total control and money.

Did he say "Repairadise"? That is the new name for your repair business.

@karstenquast7503 1 month ago

But isn‘t it scary that none of the young people care about the fact that they buy a game for 80 bucks only to then find out that it can be taken away just like that within seconds. So sad.

I think the hardware repair strategy is good, but don’t forget the endgame of these companies is cloud streaming, they’ll eventually want to cut out the hardware costs altogether

For shyna's sound board you should add the "SEGA!" anytime there's something sega lol

As someone who grew up with cds and had a few cassettes, I would still prefer to collect vinyl records, but ripping cd's and having them as a library backup is a cool option as well. The problem is they don't display as well and the process of playing them isn't as ritualistic.

Haha im dieing laughing at 29:55 Caleb almost smacked his employee in the face as he was talking with his hands. The employee jumped back and smiled but caleb didnt notice

The next generation will start caring when they never see the prices of the games they want to play go down. People have hated Nintendo’s policy of charging full price years later and soon that will be all video game developers pricing policy on console.

@vistas5823 1 month ago

Like you said, that 85% number doesn't consider used games but that number for digital versus physical also includes Free games like Fortnite, it counts as a "sale" when it is added to someone's library. Just food for thought.
