Congratulations to David (aged 92)on being awarded an MBE for services to MAGIC. Award conferred by Prince William, Duke of Cambridge. May, 2019

Yes it is a complicated routine, and I'd agree that Derren's version flows much better, but what you can't argue with is David's sheer nerve and hutzpah in carrying this off. No actors, clearly, just a mastery of equivoque ( picture selection ) and 'front' ( witness how he creates the final order of the pictures on the table - nothing to do with the lady's random ordering ).  Very similar to his chair test elsewhere on YouTube.

You guys comparing this performance to Derren Brown are being silly. This was YEARS before Derren (who I love) and no doubt inspired Derren a great deal. He might not have existed had it not been for Berglas.

the greatest mind than now and ever in all of mentlisam!

ENIGMA

impressive :o

Not all actors. The method is in a biography by David Britland.

Maybe you are right, but nobody can be scure that they are really not actors. and if you wanna know, I am really scared to know that somebody can choose for me or choose my decision.
sorry if my english is not perfect. if you dont understand answer me and I'll explain you my opinion again.

I think Derren is a better performer (more energy, more mystery, etc.), but this version feels very raw and realistic as though Berglas is reacting to each reveal just as the audience does. Well done!

Goes on too long, much too drawn out and you lose interest. Berglas as great as he was , waffled too much.

What a strangely irritable performance style

This is so boring and difficult to follow. The effects are very weak, in the "so what" category.

good but i like Derren's version better

all actors
