People don't seem to point out that when everybody dies in Telephone mv, the victims shown are asian, black, elderly and queer people (and even a freakin dog), then cuts straight to the 2 biggest popstars dancing among the massacre wearing USA outfits (!!!) Thats quite symbolic if u ask me considering the current state of USA and the whole world. btw Gaga was always into subverting a songs meaning, or adding something utterly deeper to it.

Telephone in a nutshell is about how consumerism and the modern advent of cellphones are suffocating people in a way, and kills them

Technically Die With A Smile is also a Mayhem music video.

"to be continued" and here we are in 2026...still waiting. side note, paparazzi mv is the prequel to the telephone mv

Not spamming but had to say "Alejandro" was most thrilling mv in that time-homoerotic as all get-out!

Love watching your deep dive into Gaga! Here’s a little more detail to help you decipher the videos.
Alejandro - The video is largely about the dichotomy between religion and the LGBTQ community but also touches on the Don’t ask Don’t tell issues that we’re going on with the military at the time.

Telephone - this is a continuation from Paparazzi where she goes to prison after killing her bf. Sadly we still do not have the next part to the series though Gaga has said that it will happen. Gaga also has another song with Beyoncé called Videophone which was released around the same time.

Bad Romance - the video touches more on the music industry and the kinds of things artists have to do to be able to get sales/ push their albums.

Disease - All the different Gagas in the video are different iterations of herself from the different album eras and the video is an expression of the battles with herself and the mayhem within.
Cant wait to see your reaction the Monster Ball and how her artistry has only grown over time.

You NEED to watch the Copacabana Mayhem Ball not Coachella

Telephone is a continuation to Paparazzi music video, where she ends up in jail

You should definitely watch marry the night music video ( her best mv )

You should check out the mayhem ball and the grammy collab she made with metalica , Dude she can do every genre it is mad !

You mentioning that you love Nine Inch Nails kind of makes it make a lot of sense that you love MAYHEM so much - a well known inspiration for Gaga making this album. During the rollout she would regularly wear NIN merch doing press!

hell yeah i hope this means the born this way video is close

In the prison scene when she has diet coke cans in her hair, the girl she is standing next to before the call is Gagas sister.

In bad roman where it goes walk walk fashion baby, she was wearing Alexander Mcqueen and those shoes were caller armadillo shoes, he gifts her some and one of fiances bought her 3 pair.

I recommend checking out the Mayhem bonus tracks at some point.  You've heard The Dead Dance, but there's also Can't Stop The High and Kill For Love (my favorite of the three).

I have the collectors book!

Fun face about disease MV: Gaga heard about the negative reviews of joker 2 and Gaga wanted to be in a rebellious state during the shoot

Cigarrets are like luxury in jail. So, a glass made of cigarettes is hot!

Is that your real hair…. Loving it btw

Woah, watching this... no one is even in the same galaxy of being close to her. The best to ever do it!

I live for this lady and her weird shit.
