OK now we have to run minecraft on a 12 year old ipad mini running windows xp.

"Hey bro, how'd you jailbreak your iPad?"
"Oh, I stuck it in my freezer."
"Wait, what??"
"Yeah bro, it worked!"

Zachary, putting in the freezer isnt the fix. All you had to do was turn on chimera and then close it and then just wait for 5 minutes at the homescreen and then open the app again and jailbreak.

I am literally watching this on the ipad air 2 on ios 13. An 11 year old device yes 2014 was 11 years ago feels so wild.

Chimera is pronounced KY MERRA

4:11 How they figured that out is crazy, but as they say, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" lol

Honestly, after seeing Windows XP run on the iPad Mini 2, I can’t stop thinking about Windows 7 and what it would take to get it working on a device like this. Windows 7 has minimum requirements of a 1 GHz x86/x64 processor, 1 GB RAM for 32-bit, 2 GB RAM for 64-bit, and 16–20 GB storage depending on version. The iPad Mini 2 has a dual-core ARM A7 at 1.3 GHz and 1 GB of RAM. That means, for a 32-bit Windows 7 install, the RAM requirement technically matches—but with the emulation overhead required to translate x86 instructions to ARM in real time, actual usable performance would be extremely limited.

Storage is another consideration. With iOS 12.5.7 taking up roughly 4–5 GB, a 16 GB iPad would only leave about 10–12 GB free, which is just enough to fit a minimal Windows 7 install. Any extra software, games, or files would quickly hit the limit, and the emulator would likely crash if it tried to use swap or temporary storage beyond that.

Windows 7 relies heavily on the CPU for UI rendering and general system tasks. On the A7, without hardware acceleration for x86 instructions, graphics and desktop animations would be slow, and anything beyond basic operations—opening multiple windows, running Internet Explorer, or starting even lightweight programs—would likely be delayed by several seconds per action. Just-in-time compilation (JIT) in emulators like UTM could help, but it would still be orders of magnitude slower than on native x86 hardware.

In terms of drivers, Windows 7 expects standard PC hardware: PS/2 keyboards, USB controllers, and VGA/DirectX-compatible graphics. To get it running properly on the Mini 2, the virtual machine would need to emulate these devices, and any attempt to access hardware directly would fail. Networking, audio, and other peripherals would also be limited by the emulated environment.

A successful Windows 7 install would demonstrate the same principle as XP: that even a low-power ARM tablet can emulate a full desktop operating system, pushing the boundaries of what people consider possible for old devices. It would be slower, laggy, and mostly impractical, but technically feasible with careful emulator configuration, minimal virtual hardware, and patience for long boot and load times. Seeing the iconic Windows 7 interface—start menu, taskbar, Aero effects—appear on a device this old would be fascinating.

It's pronunciation is Kai mera I think

3:16 if you think that was weird, there was an issue with another jailbreak (Pangu7 i believe) where trying to jailbreak it in a dark room would make it boot loop, so you were forced to jailbreak it in a bright room

I changed my keyboard into Windows XP Keyboard

I got a windows 8.1 device to run an official copy of windows 11, the PC is from 2014, and it is actually surprisingly good, I can do most of everything on it, I even get windows updates, and it is running on unsupported hardware Core i3 4th gen.

Awesome man keep up the good work

The freezer thing is crazy. A while ago the pangu 7 point something jailbreak had a bug involving the ambient light sensor where if you were in a dark room while it was jailbreaking it would get stuck in a boot loop so you had to either turn all the lights on or shine a flashlight at the sensor until it was finished

New sub, great video Zach

Hey man, love you videos. I have started my own channel and am struggling with the camera work just want to ask how do you decide what shots to take when filming or recording your videos.

That room, giving me vibe "Michael Fallon", the famous Prankster on Facebook even here "YouTube"

I remember my mom passed away in the hospital. I was 24 years old and she wanted to watch a television show. We leave the name of the series out of us for political reasons. But I brought her the tablet and iPad mini hooked it up and she loved every minute of it up until her death she used it. I still have that tablet and I love it, and I love seeing people building technology through these tablets for the future yeah the silicon is very slow. The front bus and multicourse are absolutely terrible but seeing that there’s a future for this tablet still gives me memories of my mom and I have that tablet and maybe I’ll pull it out and do something like this too just cause why not I’ll get to spend a little bit more time or something. I brought a lot of memories to my mom. Thanks for making this video. I appreciate it brother big fan have been I never comment. I just watch. I’m a under the covers watcher and I’ll go back in my cave.

Bro how did you jailbreak the ipad mini 2 i need tutorials😭

i love your content keep the videos up😎
