The best part about The Shadow is the fact that he can't physically turn invisible, but possesses the ability to mind fuck his enemies to not see him.

The Shadow (1994), The Phantom (1996), The Rocketeer (1991) and Dick Tracy (1990) are the real classics

The city looks like how I would imagine Gotham in around 1938.
Appropriate, considering this was one the heroes who preceded the Bat.

The shadow and The Phantom despite low praise are two of my favorite childhood movies.

Fun fact: The Shadow was the direct inspiration for Batman. The First Batman story in 1939, The Case of the chemical Syndicate" was discovered to be derived from a Shadow story called "Partners of Peril." Obviously Batman is quite his own distinct character now. Still, that does give the Shadow movie a bit of legitimacy, plus it is a fun movie in its own right.

fun fact whenever Alec used his Shadow voice the dialog came out from all the speakers at the same time as his voice was projected out as telepathy which was a cool idea.

I understand why that fellow was scared when Alec Baldwin started shooting at him.

One of the best treatments of The Shadow ever put on film. Great story, great cast, great production values and special effects. A cult classic for all Shadow fans. Never get tired of watching this film.

If the Joker were Batman, he would act exactly like this.

This is one thing that I always liked about the Shadow over Batman. He leans into his persona. Batman is usually stoic and brooding. And sure, he scares criminals. But he doesn't laugh like an absolute lunatic. The Shadow doesn't act like a normal dude just because hes your friend. He still cackles and makes you slightly unsure if hes a good guy. Love it.
