I love how they pretend not to know where he is from or his friends names at the start but are secretly waiting until they take mattia to his world to unravel the fact they know every miniscule detail about his life since mattias birth
This video is pure genius. In the midst of lethargic and almost boring intro dialogue I was unexpectedly getting sucked into the palm of slushy noobs. Through the clueless eyes of Mattia Polibio I had fallen into a trap of which I was certain of being ahead of... or so I thought!? The ending was pure philosophical ecstasy and catharsis. Bitter sweet thoughts of my life began to mar my mind... the slushy noobs are far more superior than given credit for.
I realise now the significance of this moment at 17:05 where hamzah lets Mattia choose between mining the diamonds first or going down the railroad first. It ties in beautifully with this quote at 28:00: "Every decision you make has an effect on your life, you are in control of your future." By going down the railroad and foregoing the diamonds, Mattia makes the conscious decision -- though he wasn't aware of it at the time -- to sacrifice materialistic wealth and instead has an invaluable reflection upon his inner psyche and very fabric of existence through a spiritual journey guided by two angelic prophets. A tear-jerking storytelling of ego death and the existentialism of life through divine intervention.
I was watching this video, and then my neighbor came and we watched it together. He said that this video changed his life and touched his heart. I then went and rented a projector in a big field. All of my other neighbors watched it, and it changed their lives too. We all are so grateful. Thank you for this video.
