What are your first impressions of the 2026 Chieftain PowerPlus 112?!

@charlesgru8978 7 months ago (edited)

I'm a diehard Harley guy who's had 3 Street Glides, and I'm not ashamed to admit I've really taken to this Chieftain with the new motor. In fact, I literally made a deal this very morning on a white Dark Horse with the fancy 4-speaker radio (it's a 2025 but has ONE mile on it), and got it for the same price as the white w/ blackedout motor SG that was one the HD side...but this is closer to a CVO version than the "normal" SG. Can't wait to pick it up

Can't beat the stock suspension on those Indians!

Best bang for your buck hands down is Indian. Now they just need to move the console on the Challenger and Chieftan so you can mount risers without having to spend a fortune. They need to lean into the aftermarket more. I have high hopes for this brand change with the CEO having worked in Harley and at VH.

I am a Harley guy, but this bike is impressive.

This has gotten WAY more expensive than it used to be

It doesn't feel like your riding a bagger because Indian makes the engine part of the stress member of the frame. Center of gravity is precise, its a work of art.

I think when we ask "would you buy it?"...we mean if it were the style of bike you wanted, (in this case, fork mounted fairing bagger), would you buy this one

Just picked up a 2025 yesterday.108 gloss black. Was gonna buy a 2026 street glide but dealer in Houston was pulling some crap so I walked. Glad I did this Indian is way smoother I’ve risen street glides before.the suspension on this Indian is smooth! Great power delivery as well. I drove it home last night 200 miles. And it being a 2025 hold over I got a great deal from woods cycle in new braunfels. 7k cheaper than the street glide.getting used to the heavy bike on turns used to riding an ftr 1200.still have that bike love it. Traded a Yamaha xsr900 in on Indian.wanted to get a bagger for me and wife to take short weekend trips.really like it.

Sweet bike, I wish Indian would have the 112 in the Sport Chief.

I've been riding a 900 Vulcan custom for about 3 yrs and I've been eye balling the Indian Pursuit Dark Horse to upgrade to. Great vid thanks for your review!

I got the 2025 powerplus 108 and I love it. Sound system is amazing, plenty loud, so smooth. Plus I'm coming from an Indian Scout bober. It was like going from a go cart to a Cadillac.

Great review! Certainly agree on the seat. The suspension on a stock Indian is way better than any HD , I’ve been on.

Good info bro! Thanks for the video

I want the 116 air cooled thunder stroke. I want a brand new traditional Indian chieftain.

Rode this bike at the Americade Lake George event several times. I am patiently waiting a couple years so I can get a slightly used one at a livable price. Loved everything about it for the most part, gets a bit buzzy at 5k RPMS + . But she boogies and feels much lighter than she is. Best of all looks fantastic fresh off the press and the seat is all day comfortable.
