Watching this post-Blossom Arc is really funny

I've also never heard anyone tell a kiri to swap no matter how bad their playing. If you stink on kiri, you just suck. No hero can change that, and if there's any hero that can change that, it is in fact Kiri.

900+ hours on Mercy. Her movement is what draws me to play her, it's so fun. But when my team is struggling to do anything, I do have to switch to another hero. I hope they change her kit up a bit to make her more proactive, but I beg that they do not nerf her movement.

There is one bad thing about Kiriko. She usually gets 2-3 skins per season instead of 5 skins

“YOU SHOULDVE PICKED MERCY”

“IM NOT GONNA BE ANY KIND OF SUPPORT”

Making a character dependant on ANOTHER person to be effective is so weird and definitely feels like a product of it's time; as a support player there is no reason for me to play mercy over anyone, she's such a reactive character that feels weird on overwatch with how proactive the game is now. I really hope they do change her eventually to be her own character and not just a dps accessory

Devs are so scared to change mercy at all. As a mercy player, it honestly sucks. The solution seems so obvious, but forever out of reach as long as blizz is too scared of the mercy mafia to change her. I dont like feeling like im totally dependent on my teammates. What i do like is flying around and getting crazy rezzes. But there is literally NO situation in where she is the best pick. I just want to play her one day and actually feel like i can make plays that change the game like kiriko or bap can.

Overwatch got lightning in a bottle with Lucio. perfect character
They need to stop nerfing his speed

1:14 even youtubers forget about lucio, there's tf2 medic but no lucio

The medic from TF2 is one of the prime examples of a healer in all of gaming. The reason why his philosophy doesn't work in OW is because mercy isn't the only character with an ultimate or consistent healing. Her kit just wasn't designed to have competition. I just hope if she ever does get a rework, it better fix all of her problems while keeping some of her identity at least.

29:13 I was confused why he said "Vamos Aplicar!" here, I thought he was yelling Lúcio's ult but then i remember his name is APPLY lmfaooooo

"vamos, aplicar", So thats how others see when I write in english. ("i feel like im having a stroke what does any of this mean?? " A response from a post in reddit I made.)

the thing with mercy’s current state is that mercy players were right… they were right from the moment they started giving feedback on her nerfs.

the devs gutted her movement (the part that was enjoyable about her) and decided to ignore damage boost or rez (what the majority of people had a problem with)…. From the moment the nerfs came through, mercy players were warning the devs and the community that those changes were not appropriate and would only lead to more of the pocket bot playstyle (moving around would simply become too dangerous for her.) And of course, people clowned on the mercy players and the devs ignored meaningful suggestions to change mercy. Then they added the dps passive and increased projectile sizes which only made the pocket bot playstyle more prevalent. It basically made this the only viable way to play mercy and further pushed damage boost beam usage because of mercy’s useless healing. Then, as if it wasn’t enough, they further nerfed mercy’s health pool to make her more squishy which effectively made the pocket bot playstyle her only play style (and a bad one at that). mind you, they have yet to touch rez or damage boost meaningfully in 18+ seasons. Mercy has been forced to the outer edges of balance. She’s not fun, she’s not engaging, she’s not impactful, and even then, she remains a tumor on the side of overwatchs balancing. Mercy players have been begging for a rework for literal eons at this point but i don’t think they’ve ever will. i think they’ve done a really good job with overwatch but mercy is definitely where they completely dropped the ball. Rework the character or we will continue to keep having this same annoying discussion. It’s at the point where mercy players don’t even like playing mercy anymore.

“To All Mercy Players, what do you do when your DPS are not good?”:
-Keep playing Mercy cause they can’t play anything else.
-Complain in chat about DPS gap.
-Healbot the tank to see if something happens.
-Get rolled.
-Proceed to post on X about how trash is the matchmaking and how they never get good teammates.

kiriko is the only support hero that can be played like a tracer, fragging out in the enemy backline and deleting all the squishies in a few seconds (if u hit ur headshots which is not too difficult to do). The moment you are forced to TP to your team, you don't even lose much value because then you have high healing output and suzu for your teammates. It's just win win situation with kiri

They need to remove rez from cooldown and give her a proactive ability, like a boop or something so she can function like a MS better. Also make the pistol way better so that you’re actually incentivized to use it, it’s just weird that a character with such good movement is discouraged from going for picks.

I love how flash forward he has mercy gameplays “I’m cooking right now”

wow man i just love watching an apply video

As someone who has been playing OW since the first game came out and largely have mained mercy the entire time (don't get me wrong, I enjoy playing other supports and whatnot), I love her kit. Yes, it can 100% be frustrating when your team isn't doing well and yes sometimes that means a swap is necessary for the win. But overall, saying she's boring because she isn't another dps is an opinion of someone who obviously doesn't enjoy her playstyle. I on the other hand get dopamine boosts from evading and juking enemies, getting game-changing rezzes, stalling on point, playing the terrain, and tracking ults to a fault. She is by far the best character for tracking game progress and seeing all perspectives of the field. Do I think she could use some changes to make her more impactful? Sure! Is she a lower skill floor/ceiling character? Yes (even though there is plenty of room for skill). But, she is also and excellent option for someone that wants to play the game that maybe isn't the most mechanically able. Again, I've been playing for a long time... my aim has improved drastically, but I get fatigued very quickly when having to do so. Mercy is a great way for me to relax, enjoy what the game has to offer, and feel impactful without overclocking my brain.

To each their own, but just because you don't like her doesn't mean she's not fun to a very large population of players. Her pistol should not be the primary part of her kit. She is supposed to be a pacifist and a simpler character to adopt overall. :) If they centered her gameplay around her pistol, I would cry and immediately stop playing her because that's not what she's supposed to be.

Gosh apply, you’re such an awesome player and streamer. You can play all heroes and carry. ❤
