This is not how I imagined starting 2026.

In this video, I’m sharing a very real and vulnerable journey — losing a tooth and undergoing severe facial treatment for actinic keratosis. It’s been uncomfortable, emotional, and honestly humbling… but it’s also part of real life, especially as we age.

I wanted to share this openly for anyone who’s navigating health scares, unexpected changes, or those moments when you don’t feel like yourself in the mirror. Beauty over 50 isn’t about perfection — it’s about resilience, honesty, and showing up anyway.

Seriously Lynn, there is absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about, this is real life. There are many of us that loose teeth and have awful skin conditions that they have to learn to live with. My daughter has horrendous eczema. Thank you so much for doing this video, it keeps it real ❤😊

Putting this video out when you feel completely out of sorts just makes me respect you even more Lynn. Sharing warts n all makes you human and real and relatable .
I understand only too well how physical changes can make us feel (whether they’re obvious or not) but underneath it all we are still who we are and you are still our beautiful Nana M ❤.

Loosing teeth is traumatic. And definitely a stigma. Dental work should be under medical insurance. It’s ridiculously expensive.

I think you are amazing, sharing this video. When I was low, I heard a quote...no matter how bad one day has been, the birds starts the next morning with a song .....I wish you every success with your treatment . Thank you.

Lynn you are an amazing lady, thank you for being so open with us. I've recently been diagnosed with Actinic Keratosis and started treatment yesterday. You explain everything so clearly - much better than my doctor has explained it to me.
You're so brave sharing with us all that you're going through, not long now and you'll be healed and back on our screens, but not until you feel 100%.

Poor baby, I’m sure it’s hard not to get frustrated with the face, the tooth, and thinning hair. Without going into details, I am suffering from most of the same things so this allows me to have empathy for you. I cry and pray for you. Get better soon sweetie.😊❤

Hi Nanna-M, thank you for being so brave and putting this video up. You’ve inspired me to go and get a spot on my face checked out, that’s been there for many months and I would have just continued to curse and ignore it otherwise. It’s hopefully nothing but you never know! I also have hair loss which turns out to be an autoimmune form of alopecia so I’m with you on that too ☹️, though I hope your thinning is just a temporary thing. Mine is yet another thing generally only found in post menopausal women…so many unwelcome little surprises about getting older that I had no idea existed!! Thank goodness we have each other in these wonderful communities 🙏🏼 so please keep on doing what you’re doing, we love you for it! ❤
