I am 87 today I have studied and look back and realize iwas married to a husband with absolutely no conscience. I was with him 12 years and endured with micro mgmt, threats, and I realized I Had to get out. I did. With this experience I never remarried. No way.

The details part! I’ve always believed this was true. I’ve been in sales for almost 20 years, and I’ve always given a lot of detail about everything. Honestly, I’ve been that way since I was a kid. I have anxious ADHD too, and I’ve always been told I give “too many details” and that people might think I’m lying because of it. I’ve always thought, “But if I’m telling the truth, why wouldn’t I be specific?” 😂 I’m extremely detailed because I genuinely remember things that way, and my story doesn’t change.

I think we are fascinated because we have lost the bonds, the learning the personal obligations that are expected.....we see everyone as a stranger and not a member of my community. We have lost our sense of community. We sadly need someone to teach what we as a community would have identified and addressed.

My ex girlfriend was 100% a psychopath/sociopath. The reason I put sociopath there is because I know there was a little childhood trauma. She kept it very well hidden, as in she could switch it off enough for me to think to myself, "Oh, that was a one off. That's not really her...", until the day she couldn't hide it anymore. It is the craziest relationship I've ever been in, and I hope to never come across it again. It took me four years, two therapists a week, and a psychiatrist to actually understand it and come to terms with it, after the relationship was over. I didn't want to believe it to be true.

This is interesting… But I encourage everyone to be very wary of this sort of subjective research. Researchers attempted do the same type of thing by analyzing 911 calls. The goal was to determine if the caller was the culprit. This resulted in an extraordinary number of false positives, and the approach was in time invalidated and no longer admissible in court in any way shape or form. People were imprisoned using these sort of soft subjective science approaches. Human beings are very complex creatures. While, this is interesting, It is art, it is subjective. It is not, no matter what anyone tries to tell you, science. For anyone further interested I would suggest the podcast, Criminal. They just did a long form show on the folly and implications of the 911 research. Let’s not turn our court systems over to social scientists, please.

The reason people are so interested in learning and understanding the psychopathy, is because they are discovering that they are have family members as well as marrying, dating, working with individuals who are Pathological and Malignant Narcissists, Sociopaths Psychopaths.
Spotting a Dark Triad in a few minutes in your daily life, is almost impossible. The real ones are miles ahead of you. Even one or the ‘Godfathers’ of research in this field Robert Hare, stated how hard it is to spot psychopaths.
When you’ve almost covertly lost your life to someone like this, who you married, then you know the reality.
I’m afraid, this Woman is simply an academic who seems to have no real personal experience.

3:05 autistic people also get accused of their smile not reaching their eyes. Autistics also have different types of communication. Our faces also tend to move our faces in the manner that was explained here. Allistics recognize something "off" about us and this could possibly skew their opinion in a rather dangerous direction.
We need to exercise caution in "recognizing" psychopathy. We can benefit from having knowledge which can protect us, but we really have to resist the desire to be armchair psychiatrists and detectives.

I have nothing to hide from anyone, however when I have asked to provide details about happening days or weeks after the event. It makes me angry because I don't freakin remember... because I was just trying to get through what ever it was so I could move on to the next challenge...
