I went to school with Billy the singer and Mike the bass player from 4th grade through high school. It's still weird seeing how big they became. I remember when they were called Truant and played 80's metal covers from Def Leppard, Ozzy, and Motley Crue at school dances. The last time I actually spoke to anyone it was Mike when we were like 20 before their first album came out. He saw me walking through town and pulled over to give me a copy of their EP, which I still have. It's nice to see people you like become this huge thing.

Billie Joe Armstrong (Lead singer , guitar) suffered from panic attacks and would even wake up from sleep and he would hyperventilate, feeling a sense of impending doom. He would often feel like he was going to lose all control over himself. That’s why he wrote the song

The entire American Idiot album is a masterpiece. American Idiot, Jesus of Suburbia, Holiday, Boulevard of Broken Dreams to name a few.

Happy Monday, guys! The entire Dookie album is full of bangers …. And a great live band. I’ve seen them a bunch and one of the best shows that I have seen. They don’t disappoint … for me.

American Idiot is 1 of the GREATEST albums ever done. LOVE every song on it. They are up there for me with The Beatles & Queen

American Idiot is top notch. They played the Super Bowl pregame this year.

Interesting enough Dookie is a Double Diamond album 20 Million albums sold. And is in the National archives for recording music. Classic album that stands for all time. Such a great album.

And yes the song was completely different before what it is now. Different sound, different subject matter. It’s up on their site as a B-side for Dookie’s 30th anniversary.

I legit loved the reaction 😂😂 Green Day is amazing. Their song "She" is legit everything to me. For 20 years now that song has just held me down through the tough times as a woman.
