Welcome to the 33rd Badweiher-Hock 2026 in St. Peter in the Black Forest, Germany, one of the most impressive gatherings for radio-controlled model ships in the region.
Organized by the Modell-Schiff-Kapitäne St. Peter, the Badweiher-Hock is a traditional two-day international model ship gathering that brings together ship modellers from Germany and abroad. Around 250 ship models can be seen during the event, covering an incredible range of vessels, from working tugboats and sailing ships to yachts, workboats, speedboats and highly detailed scale models.
And then there are the ships that simply stop you in your tracks.
One of the absolute highlights of this year's event is a spectacular 1:96 scale RC model of the Iowa-class battleship USS New Jersey. At around 3 metres in length, this enormous model is a jaw-dropping piece of scale modelling and one that is rarely seen in public. Its sheer size, level of detail and presence on the water make it an unforgettable sight.
But the Badweiher-Hock is about much more than one spectacular battleship. Throughout the film you'll see a huge variety of RC boats and ships cruising the Badweiher, demonstrating their manoeuvrability and scale realism. The video also takes you on a pit walk through the model display, where dozens of beautifully crafted RC vessels can be seen up close, revealing the incredible craftsmanship, engineering and attention to detail that goes into these models.
A special feature of the Badweiher-Hock is the impressive harbour installation of the Modell-Schiff-Kapitäne St. Peter, where the models recreate realistic harbour operations. The event also traditionally features illuminated ships sailing after dark and a spectacular evening fireworks display.
This film captures the atmosphere, variety and craftsmanship of Badweiher-Hock 2026, from giant warships and working vessels to beautifully detailed scale models and ships cruising across the pond.
If you enjoy RC ships, RC boats, giant-scale model ships, battleships, warships, scale modelling, model shipbuilding and spectacular radio-controlled vessels, this film is for you.

Make the way the boat sits in the water look way more realistic
Everything else on that ship is done magnificently well though.
