That fake-out sponsor was genuinely one of the best jokes I’ve heard in a long time

That 3 minute rant about the Super Suit was peak Cybershell

The "Spin Shoes" is a reference to Super Mario World where doing a spin jump can allow you to bounce off of enemies and objects that would normally harm you.

The reason the Spin shoes work to damage spikey enemies with a jump is because the spin jump in Mario World allows Mario to hop on spiked enemies

Came for the Super Mario RPG obscure facts, stayed for the unhinged rants.

Oh, it's really not that obscure, but a lot of people might never notice: when you get a game over in this game, you lose all your progress and restart at the last save point, but you keep all your experience. It's just one of the ways the game takes it easy on you. If you immediately save again after a game over you'll probably notice the level being overwritten on the save file. By exploiting this feature I once made a save file where Mario starts the game at Mario's pad (the earliest point you can save) at level 27, making the entire game a complete massacre.

You know there is one person out there who got to 99 jumps thinking the first one counted, and then gave up when they didnt get the suit

An even more obscure thing about the Star Egg is that it has a very slightly different animation when Peach/Toadstool uses it. The star does its little butt wiggle slightly faster, and the sound it makes on the second shake is ever so slightly pitched higher than for other characters.

Now THAT'S obscure.

Here's a fun thing: the chest in 14:21 is no longer missable in the remake. There is an additional mushroom guard standing by the door.

I've definitely learned a lot from this video. The green guy's named Luigi? Wow!

can't wait for the "pause on the green square 87 times" speedrun

3:20 I come back and watch this video repeatedly for this. You are a treasure.

this is truly the most cybershell-like thing that cybershell has ever done. disappears for months and then comes back with a mario video.

To quote a wise man, "there are many secrets in this game, many of which drive some peeps insane"

19:05 This aged interestingly, his name is localized to Speardovich now

I love the rant Cybershell goes on about the super jumps, really makes you feel like you're listening to a guy who's spent some time in a padded room

Hey thanks for the shoutout! I'm still finding weird stuff in this game pretty often. Love how excited everyone is about SMRPG now.

that fake adroll was the funniest thing I have ever heard thank you for that

Either this guy made a thousand videos and uploads each one when it's convenient to do so, or he just makes one video really fast whenever he feels like it

That prep for the ad read at like 3 minutes was the best subversion of expectations I've had in a while. I was dying laughing lmaooo
