When we found out my father had terminal cancer in 2023, I used to drive to the hospital listening to QOTSA — 30 minutes of Fortress on the last day I saw him alive.
When they called me at 6 a.m., I knew it would be one of the worst days of my life, so I put A Long Slow Goodbye on repeat.
The day we buried him, it felt like Queens were right there with me while I helped carry my dad’s coffin. I can only thank this band for having my back through my grief.

The guy who introduced me to u guys took his own life one year ago, wich was really hard tbh, just wanted to say that your music really helped with the recovery! He took me with him in 2014 to Rock am ring in Germany, ive had no idea what to expect, but from the first note i was hooked! Just wanted to share this, first time actually talking about it! I wish he could be here to witness this work of art! Greetings from Belgium!

18:10 PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD LET US LISTEN TO THIS VERSION OF THIS LULLABY OKEASE

Imagine being loved by Mikey. Nobody loves Josh the way Mikey Shoes does ❤

You don't get to see Josh "lead the band" often. Seeing him lead the practices with the strings players really showed a different side of him. Josh the Conductor!

These guys 🥹🥲❤ their bond is so precious to me. I’m glad they have each other 🥰

You fought the good fight. I fought cancer too. I won. I pray you did too, Josh. Your voice transmits so many emotions. It’s truly remarkable. The whole band is tight.❤

12:53 Unintended puns are often the best.  ❤

Mikey is such a swetheart. He's trying to save face for his friend. He wants the world to know the pain, but he knows its not his business to air it out. Im a guy that died on the table. Bless you mikey

My Grand father (Papa) was from Italy and was born in 1900 , when he was a little boy his father used to send him down the catacombs to fetch more wine, they stored it down there to keep it cool. So one time he was almost at the wine and the candle went out 😅 he was terrified and his father went and found him hiding down in the catacombs.

I went to the Paris show eight weeks ago, and I’m still deeply moved by it. Of course I knew about the background and the tour cancellation — but knowing that gives the 2025 tour a whole new level of intensity and meaning.😮❤

Very touching how the band talks about Josh and the moment.

My husband is the definition of "music head", music is everything to him and QOTSA is by far one of our favorites! July 2024, when Josh was going through all of this, my husband was diagnosed with stage IV esophageal cancer. We were devastated when we found out, we were devastated when we heard Josh was going through all of this. This is the first time I've watched the behind the scenes and it just made me sob, to see all of those who care about Josh and what he was going through, just put me right back to my life, my husband. This is what helps patients through, the love, the support, and I imagine the music. My husband would spend hours listening to Queens, and his other favorites, throughout chemo, and the music helped immensely.  We are now one year cancer free, but a 40% chance of coming back over the next 4 years. Music will get us through, good luck on your journey Josh, and may you feel all the love and support around you.

When I think of Josh Homme the first image that pops up in my mind in this very young, almost teenage looking guy playing on stage with Kyuss in the 90s. And it does not even seem that long ago. I know it's probably cliche to say this but time really flies.

Josh is forever the true king of swagger.

My favorite band. Josh Homme is one of America's greatest gems. We need to protect him at all cost.🤘🏼🇺🇸🤘🏼

I’m so glad I was able to see this! For someone unable to afford the actual record, or DVD or whatever, I feel very fortunate for this being shared!!!!

Thank you QOTSA!

So glad we have Joshua, healthy, and outliving all of us, hopefully…! ❤❤❤❤

One of the most beautiful albums of all time

Kind of been out of the loop with qotsa. Had no idea he had a major surgery. Hope he's turned a corner and doing alright now. Beautiful renditions or reimagining of their songs, and absolutely stunning cinematography, lighting, and some clever editing...the pacing slowed down so much, but it just worked so beautifully. Great job by everyone involved.

🎸 I was invited to attend the screening of "Queens of the Stone Age: Alive in the Catacombs" at the historic Palm Springs Plaza Theatre, which had just reopened in December after extensive renovations - and is a legendary venue.

On the big screen, the film was extraordinary. Filmed beneath Paris, every sound, echo, and visual felt intimately tied to the Catacombs — from the dripping water and natural reverb to the dark, moody lighting. It didn’t feel like a typical concert film; it felt raw, immersive, and almost otherworldly.

The BTS documentary “Alive in Paris and Before” added even more depth, revealing the emotional and physical challenges the band faced to bring this project to life. Having Josh Homme there for the Q&A made the night truly special. It was wonderful to see Matt as well, and we all shared an amazing evening together.

A big thank you to everyone who made this incredible experience possible. 👍🏻
Cheers!🤘🏻
