Kelly Clarkson sings “Golden” and of course… the internet has done what it does best: sparked a debate. 😂
🔥 Does Kelly Clarkson's version surpass the original?
In this reaction, we don't just listen to the performance: we talk about voice, interpretation, power, vocal choices, and something that always generates controversy… what does it really mean for a cover to be “better” than the original?
Because there's a difference between singing technically incredible and making a song YOUR song.
I have a pretty clear opinion after listening to it… 👀
But I want to know yours:
👇 ORIGINAL or KELLY CLARKSON?
And, above all, why?

Comparing the voices of Kelly Clarkson and Gabriel Henrique is to analyze two vocal phenomena with distinct technical approaches, but who share an impressive ability to convey emotion with power.
Kelly Clarkson: The Queen of the "Mixed Belt"
Style and Technique: Kelly is widely recognized for her technical efficiency in belting (powerful and projected singing). She is a master at balancing registers through an impeccable mixed voice technique, which allows her to transition from chest to head voice without audible breaks, maintaining sound intensity even in very high notes.
Sound Identity: Her voice possesses the characteristics of a lyric soprano, with a texture that transitions between pop, rock, and soul. Kelly's focus is on stamina, clarity, and range, serving as a benchmark for singers seeking vocal strength without sacrificing vocal health.
Gabriel Henrique: Extreme Reach and Versatility
Style and Technique: The Brazilian singer gained global prominence for possessing an extraordinary vocal range, often being classified as a countertenor. His ease in reaching extremely high notes (frequently using head voice or a powerful falsetto) is his most striking distinguishing feature.
Sound Identity: Unlike Kelly Clarkson, who prioritizes the consistency of her belting pop timbre, Gabriel explores a range that defies traditional standards, allowing for interpretations that often border on technical virtuosity, with an agility reminiscent of contemporary R&B and gospel influences.
The Meeting Point: Covers
When Gabriel Henrique covers Kelly Clarkson's songs (such as "Because of You" or "Breakaway"), he often brings a more ornamental reinterpretation. While Kelly, in the original version, focuses on the emotional construction and the rawness of the lyrics, Gabriel usually adds more melismas, octave leaps, and dynamic variations that highlight his athletic range.
In short, both are elite vocalists. Kelly Clarkson offers a masterclass in stability, register control, and emotional power focused on pop-rock, while Gabriel Henrique stands out for his almost limitless vocal range and technical agility in executing complex notes.

¿Kelly Clarkson SUPERA a la original con esta versión de Golden? 👀
A) Sí. Kelly se la ha llevado a su terreno.
B) No. Técnicamente brutal, pero me quedo con la original.
C) No son comparables. Cada una funciona por algo diferente.
Yo ya me he mojado en el vídeo 😂. Ahora os toca a vosotros.
A, B o C + vuestro argumento. 👇
