I do believe the Yuya "There will be no next Turn" scene is the most Overkill moment in Yu-Gi-Oh, it just needs the proper context and actually sitting down and watching the scene for you to feel it. The reason you can understand scenes you've seen before being Overkill is because you're able to remember them as they're being described, but it isn't the same for a scene you've never seen before.
BTW, in ARC V the "holograms" are actually duel monster spirits. The ARC System did NOT create life like holograms, it briged the gap between the Duel Spirit World and the Human World.
while the "There will be no next turn" is certainly an impactful one, what the video DIDN'T show you about #1 was a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment when Awakened Yuya declared the attack.
as soon as you hear "Direct Attack", that blue flame OE Raging Dragon conjured made the outline of someone who could best be described as "maliciously giddy" for a brief moment, as though that was briefly showing who was actually in control.
If you're going to watch Zexal eventually, then you are gonna love Vector in the latter half of the show. He was clearly the animators' favorite too 😂
That dragon's abilities are very nasty as well not only does it destroy everything but itself it gains attack from the number of cards destroyed and it also can attack twice per turn
I remember watching the duel when Atem went ballistic on Weevil as a kid, and I was genuinely scared to see my favorite character go off the deep end. Definitely a cool moment regardless but still, seeing him so broken after losing Yugi’s soul really hurt.
Master Rule 5: you can play any extra monster fusion, synchro, xyz, in the main monster zone, including the extra monster zone, except for pendulum & link monsters, those monsters can only go in the extra monster zone, when pendulum monster in the main monster zone are destroyed by effect or battle, they go to the extra deck, & when summoned from the extra deck they go to the extra monster, again except when, a link monster is summoned to the extra monster zone from the extra deck, you can put pendulum monsters under a link monsters link arrows.
10:28 you don't need a link monster to special summon extra deck monsters anymore so the Extra Link is not a thing. You could still summon monsters to those zones but you would only lock your opponent out of Link monsters.
