St. Porphyrios said to pray for the love of Christ to consume you. I started to do this Father. I found myself praying for too many specifics and for what I wanted not what God wanted. After I say my evening prayers, I always ask for God to fill me with the love of Christ. Thank you, Father for your videos. They are very helpful.

I am currently inquiring after leaving Protestantism. I’ve felt that my prayers are too casual/general and not as they should be. I prayed last night asking for clarity on how I should properly and this video came up this morning. Glory to God.

My prayers have been answered Father, I am now a baptized member of the Archangel Gabriel Orthodox Church.  All Glory to God!  My baptismal name is Cyprian (Antioch) and I am 66 years old.  Please pray for me Father as my new life begins.  Lord have Mercy!

Today I made confession and my priest (Antiochian Orthodox here) addressed my confession on not praying as I should. He gave such good encouragement before the prayer of absolution giving me practical ways to make prayer my life.
