Who's the BEST movie villain of all time? (no ties)

We all know the true villain here....

Paul Allen's business card.

Kevin Spacey played two of film's greatest villains, and yet, because we cannot separate the fictional sins of his characters from the real sins of the man himself, it seems we will never be able to appreciate the man's acting genius ever again. A pity.

Joker was CLEARLY a criminal 😂

Hans Landa: what makes him so terrifying is the fact that he is obviously always playing nice in the foreground and you know that he is heading for a specific target, and that he is in total control of the situation. He could blow it up at any moment in time. Yet he deliberately takes his time, sadistically enjoying the uncertainty and fear of his counterpart. The "speaking italian in the lobby of the opera" scene is a perfect example where he just plays around with his prey. he doesn't care, he just want so feel their fear.

Cersei Lanister is the epitome of distorted sense of right and wrong

Darth Vader and the Joker is a Level 7 Villian aswell as Palpatine and Saruman

Level 8: Jennie from ‘Forrest Gump’.

The only villain I wished you explored was Nurse Ratched. There are levels to her character.

Ya need a number 8 here boss.  Father john Hughes from peaky blinders. Played brilliantly by paddy consodine. What an absolute scumbag.

Agent Smith is interesting because he constantly dreamed of escaping the Matrix. He hated this world and disapproved of it. Suddenly, after his death, it turned out he never had the right to leave it. Like Neo, his entire life turned out to be a manipulation. But even his revenge turned out to be a ruse orchestrated by the Oracle.

Actors that say they hate this or that but then play a character that goes the opposite direction of their morals is funny. I hate violence but im gonna play an incredibly violent deeply sadistic character. Gotta get that pay check i guess

I don’t see Killmonger as a villain hes like magneto tried to do the right thing the wrong way

2:46  - In the book she chops off his foot.

4:43 Now, you could end the scene there, but if you keep the camera rollin ...

Honorable mentions: Rose DeWitt-Titanic and Jenny Gump - Forest Gump

This list cannot be complete without the inclusion of one Snidely Whiplash.

Two of the greatest villain roles for me where Gary Oldman in The Professional, and Tom Cruise in Collateral. Oldman is type 1 obviously, not sure where Cruse's character would fit in but it was chilling. I greatly admire actors and actresses that can play not just a hero role but also the villain. Great movies require both.
