Matt Atkinson's 163rd Anniversary talk called “J.E.B. Stuart and the Gettysburg Campaign” in which explores whether or not Stuart was actually just "ridin' around up north, gettin' his name in the papers." Isn't the Gettysburg history community just marvelous?

Thank you, Matt - you're a National Treasure. ❤️🇺🇲
I was born, reared, and educated n the last capital of the Confederacy during which that history was still fresh n many people's lives. Pres Eisenhower, shortly before he left office, designated 1961-5 as Civil War Centennial years---not just 1 year, but 4 consecutive years to celebrate and remember those who suffered and endured those terrible war years. There were annual parades n towns across the South where women dressed n 1850s-60s dresses, men in stovepipe hats and period suits, other men n wool Confederate uniforms with actual period muskets, swords, pistols (mostly replicas), many folks riding on surries and 2-seater buggies, lots of Confederate flags of every type, drum & fife bands......all of which present day Woke Radical leftists wouldn't understand nor tolerate today.......I thank Pres Eisenhower and God I got to experience and see this time n our history.
During this Centennial period, I began becoming a Civil War buff and effectively a CW historian that's lasted my entire life; leading me to become a world historian 51 years ago.
So Matt will undoubtedly inspire other Americans to study history, learn the context of it, and apply it, never forgetting it, and passing it on the their heirs.
Thank you, Matt for loving and passing on our CW history. And please keep ur great sense of humor..... I've learned over my lifetime that it's not "love that makes the world go around"...... it's laughter.
