As a kid I bought into the whole "throwing people won't hurt them", but ever since I passed 30, it's harder to buy that all those people Hulk threw around never got injured, or even seriously injured or even killed. Yeah he doesn't punch them or really hit them, but basically unless you have a pile of hay or feathers always laying around, throwing people could still hurt them. No wonder the comics have Hulk fight super powered enemies, and not small time criminals, crooked businessman in three-piece suits, etc, etc, that you just throw around. And how do the cops know when to show up? Just because the Hulk threw somebody?
If you were young enough to remember the CBS run on Friday nights, you have no idea how lucky you were to watch it and the reruns thru the 80's. This is still one of my favorites 40+ years later.
When the Hulk threw the Bear to the other side of the lake was great. Or when the Hulk threw the abusive father into the kitchen to save the abused boy.
The over the shoulder throw and the thrown into the table flap and the overturning and flipping cars was the biggest stunts in Hollywood in the 70s 80s
