8:08 is Guardsman Jamie Janes. He was killed in action on that tour. 5th October 2009. God rest his soul.

How anyone in the US military has respect for Trump or Hegseth is beyond belief.

Respect from the UK, good timing as well. Stronger together always

The relatively low amount of casualties the british sustained is a testament to their expertise, not lack of effort. Over 100 thousand served in Afghanistan. 457 deaths and 600 odd wounded.

Hello. Civvy Brit here. My first career was the Diplomatic Service. I always used to joke with my friends who joined the armed forces that my job was all about stopping them from doing their job. It was only when, some time later, I found myself in Bosnia that I suddenly realised that the only way I was able to do my job was because the armed forces were out there doing their job. Your video came out a few days ago, so not many people will see this comment. But my profound appreciation to all of our service folk - and our Allies - for the many risks and sacrifices you make on our behalf. Thank you.

As a Brit (posting this after your intro) well done how you did that intro. Also thank you for supporting the sacrifice of not just us Brits, but other allies who lost their young men alongside the USA. Very well done and appreciated.

In Britain like all NATO countries were proud of our military. I appreciate this video from a serving member of the US military.

From a Brit, this meant a lot. Thank you.

@DigitalNomadSolo 8 months ago

really appreciate the way you tactfully dealt with this subject and considering your active duty understand how and why you did this. The anger and fury within the armed forces here in Gibraltar is immense, I thank you.

Given recent events thanks for saying all you did and showing this now. Very appreciated by at least this Brit.

Very well handled. You've manged to inform whilst not alienating some of your fanbase who might not be educated in what actually happened.
