Sorry for the lower energy on this one, guys.  I haven't been feeling great lately and it really hit me about 5 minutes into this one.  Hopefully it still delivers something for you!

I’m not a huge Green Day fan but that Dookie Marshall sounds amazing

This amp is a GREAT signature model. Dookie came out in 1994, was a massive hit and the people who fell in love with Green Day back than are old enough now to be in a position to purchase expensive things. That generation is also one that still enjoys and believes tube amps and has not completely converted to digital. This amp has unique sound and not targeted at the “boomer” Marshall generation. There is definitely a decent market for this amp and a good move for Marshall to stay relevant.

I see what you did there: "when a band like Green Day came around" 😂

BJA is a killer rhythm player.

If you want a modern version of a hot rodded plexi seems like this is THE ONE. Sounds great.

Gotta look at it from 2 POV’s

1. Marshall knows people will buy this amp because of how huge Greenday is and was. If they see this as a blockbuster success, expect a studio version of this Dookie amp. And expect it to sell way more since it’s more accessible to bedroom and gigging guitarists.

2. People don’t want to admit it, but Greenday is considered “Classic” now. We’re talking over 30 years of music. They’ve established themselves for this long and have inspired many people to pick up a guitar. What guys like me saw Jimmy Page as (in the case of a classic legend) the new kids are looking at Billie Joe in that same light.

That said, the amp sounds terrific. And I hope this is the start of a shift where we see more amps in live shows/recordings vs a Quad Cortex or a Helix.

Great breakdown of the Marshall BJA Signature amp (without actually showcasing it). I totally agree with everything you said about BJA and Green Day. The clips that are out there have all sounded great and I plan to try and get one of these amps, if possible.
I live in the Bay Area and used to frequent and buy gear from a used vintage guitar gear shop in Berkeley in the 90s called Univibe. Bill Schneider used to manage the store when he wasn’t on the road with Green Day, and I got to know him fairly well. BJA had several Bob Bradshaw versions of Pete as backup amps to the Meat amp he used as his main live amp, which was the copy of Pete (as close as possible). Bill let me plug in and play through one of these amps after the store closed one day, and all I can say is it was an amazing sounding modded reissue Plexi SLP.
I wanted one badly, but they really weren’t an amp that you could just “go get”.
Fast forward to today and Marshall made one based off the original Pete?!!!
Hell yeah I want one- even if you don’t want to sound like Green Day or BJA, you’re guitar tone is going to absolutely kill! Think AC/DC on steroids.
Great video, Kyle.🤘

I think the difference between the Kerplunk and Dookie version of “Welcome to Paradise” is great example where good gear and good production (not over produced) can take an already good song to another level.

But the gear didn’t write that song. That said, I get this being a product. No different than EVH modded Brown Sound. It’s a good baseline to do your own thing.

The Marshall sounds amazing, the price is just hilarious as usual

No worries dude. Hoping for a sound demo.. There's a reason bands like Bad Religion are using dookiemod-amps. It's a great sound, it just needed a name. Keep it up dude!

Damn I was really hoping for a demo video lol

4 Gs for a punk amp?! Nah, I'll pass....

With all do respect, no one is getting the tones this amp is putting out. Can ppl get a “dookie” tone elsewhere? Absolutely, but no one is replicating this amp yet, it’s got its own special sauce and it’s so flippin cool.

I have one. It’s fucking awesome. Posted some clips lately and no worries everyone, my guitar is in tune 😎🎉

I’m 42. Hitching a ride did for me in 97. I play till this day. I can relate to you 100%

They were purchased by a Chinese company and I think this is the first big thing they have done.  Good for them, they are doing more then the last owner did.....like Hughes and Kettner also....all new stuff

I totally missed them at their height in the 90’s and the 00’s! 😅
Still a great band and I like their songs. 🤘🏼
And the amp sounds great.

My only complaint about the BJA signature amp is that they didn't release it in green tolex.

Kyle.. You nailed it.. spot on.. thank you..
