I think the reason we say there’s nothing to do in Victoria is because we’ve already done all those things every single year

I grew up in Victoria. The Empress used to be covered in beautiful ivy. The new owners really took a lot of charm from it. Victoria is special. The museum used to be free!

CORRECTION:
Terry Fox did NOT start his run in Victoria B.C. But on the opposite side of the country at Mile 0 in St. John’s Newfoundland. Terry never made it to B.C. He was forced to stop outside Thunder Bay, Ont. when his cancer returned.

At 23:25 in the video the guy wearing the Canadian flag as a cape and jamming out in front of the parliament building is my long time and good friend Oliver, so that was pretty awesome to see my long time childhood buddy in a tourism video of our hometown lol.

13:55 - Mile 0 is actually where Terry Fox would have finished his run, he started on the East Coast (St John's) and ended in Thunder Bay, ON. Really cool video!

Fun Fact: St Ann's used to be an all girls catholic boarding school. And the acadamy was run by Nuns who were integral to the beginning of education and healthcare systems in Victoria.

FYI rain isn't all that common in Victoria. It's actually one of the sunniest cities in all of Canada (top 3), very much unlike Vancouver.

I wish i was older I live in victoria bc near uptown sorry for all the drug and all that I wish I could travel like this I like to go on walks but idk where to go
