I turned Planet Coaster 2 into a Horror game

Earlier this year, I transformed my L37 backrooms coaster into a immersive horror experience exploring the Poolrooms. From the concept, to playtesting and the response it received, this long freaking video has it all.

If any Planet Coaster project ever deserves light on it, it is absolutely this one.

You’ve exceeded all expectations of what this game is capable of. While scaling and triggers and platforms are all great things, you’ve taken it all and transformed it into beyond just a Coaster Simulator, but a Game Creation. tool.

This is honestly the most excited I’ve gotten on the possibilities of this game - you’ve done such a beautiful job at recapturing what it means to truly be a sandbox game.

I would love to see in the future more things like this, or even how you were able to get some of the logic in this creation to work as it does. You’ve set the bar incredibly high for what this game is capable of, and I cannot wait to see what else you do, Fog. Looking forward to checking this map out for myself soon. Lovely work all around.

I so appreciate how there weren't that many jumpscares in this, letting your imagination run makes for some of the best horror out there, well made Fog, bravo.

Such a unique experience built here, it would be nice for frontier to give us basic logic for the sequencers i.e. yes/no - power off/on, you have done a great job on this.

For me this is as impresive as someone building a calculator with Minecraft redstone.
Amazing display of creativity and game knowledge, insane projects that we didnt even though possible

It is amazing what you can do with a good lighting engine, some creativity, and (I assume) a bajillion sequencers! It's a testament not only to how good of a builder you are, but also how good of a horror writer you are. You made an amazing horror game with only the in-game assets, special effects, and audio cues, all through the power of suspenseful pacing! That's no mean feat!

I've always had a memory from when I was very small of a corridor with a staircase going up and the vertical parts between the steps were glass, looking between the steps I could see on the other side a huge white tiled room, only the back wall being visible with no walls to either side and no clear view of the floor below. Suspended in the room was a large machine of brightly coloured parts, bits of pipe, strange components. Sort of like an exploded diagram of a steam engine in 3d space. I have no idea if this was a distorted memory of a location I actually went to, or a dream that my mind misfiled in the wrong place. I would have been about 3 at the time in the late 80s, anyway this stuff reminds me of that strangeness.

This is so brilliantly made! I can't believe the sheer amount of time you have put into this creation to make it as incredible as it is! You really nailed the poolrooms and the liminal horror feel.
