Passed my Extra exam this past Tuesday! Shopping around for an HF rig. Leaning towards ft-991a and an ss-30m ap power supply. Also got a Bioenno 15ah LiFePo4 battery. Just getting ideas on diy antennas. Cheers!

This antenna worked really well for me.  I hung it from a tree in the backyard, maybe 35 feet, connected it to the TenTennas 49:1, and ran the 1 meter counterpoise wire. My antenna analyzer reported an SWR of 1.16:1  I'm not using the choke (but I did just order one, your friend has them in stock again). I had QSOs with Bulgaria and Estonia this evening, over 4000 miles from my QTH! Granted, I was was running 70-80 watts. Thanks,  K1PRD

This is a great video to show folks just how good the G90 is. I used mine for over a year before I bought the XPA 125 for home use. NZ and Australia, Japan, and 45 countries working SSB with 20w. Most on a 40-10 EFHW, or a 17' whip with a CB mirror mount and a spike driven in the ground. Thanks for the quality videos Walt.
