ウイロウ母さんが静かに佇むのは、三男・わらび君が生まれて10日ほど経ち、ようやく落ち着きが戻ってきた頃のことだ。出産直後は慌ただしく、わらび君から目が離せない日々が続いたが、今は少しだけ心に余裕が生まれている。とはいえ、この静けさは長くは続かない。わらび君が動き始めれば、また新たな慌ただしさが訪れるのは時間の問題だ。

ウイロウが大変なのは、わらび君だけではない。実は、もっと手のかかる“大きな赤ちゃん”が家にいる。それが次男のみたらし君だ。現在3か月に成長したわらび君よりも、みたらし君の方が手がかかるのではないかと思えるほど、甘えん坊で感情豊か。ウイロウにとっては、まさに二重育児のような毎日だ。

しかし、この状況はみたらし君にとって大きな転機となっている。わらび君の世話で忙しい母を見て、みたらし君は少しずつ「お兄ちゃん」としての自覚を芽生えさせている。甘えたい気持ちを抱えながらも、できることを自分でやろうとする姿には、精神的な成長がはっきりと見える。ウイロウが意図していたかは分からないが、結果的にみたらし君の自立を促す形になっている。

長男のおはぎ君の時から、ウイロウは安定した育児をしてきた。おはぎ君が育てやすい子だったこともあるが、ウイロウ自身の資質が大きい。もし最初の子がみたらし君だったら、苦労はもっと大きかっただろう。しかし今、ウイロウは経験と余裕を持って、三人の子どもたちをしっかりと見守っている。

わらび君はこれまでの様子を見る限り、手のかからないタイプだ。ただし、おはぎ君ともみたらし君とも違う雰囲気を持っている。どこか大物感が漂い、将来への期待が自然と高まる。ウイロウ母さんの穏やかなまなざしの中で、三兄弟それぞれが確かな成長を見せているのだ。

Uiro finally finds a moment of calm about ten days after her third son, Warabi, was born. The hectic days right after childbirth have passed, and she can finally breathe again. Although this peaceful moment is precious, it won’t last long—Warabi will soon begin to move around, and once he starts walking, Uiro’s attention will be demanded all over again.

But Warabi isn’t the only source of her busy days. The real challenge is the “big baby” in the house—her second son, Mitarashi. Despite Warabi being only three months old now, it sometimes feels like Mitarashi requires even more care. He is affectionate, emotional, and still very attached to his mother, switching into “baby mode” whenever he finds a chance.

Yet this situation has become a turning point for Mitarashi. Watching his mother devote time to Warabi, he has begun to develop a sense of responsibility as an older brother. Even though he still seeks comfort and affection, he is gradually learning to do things on his own. His emotional growth is clearly visible, and whether Uiro intended it or not, the arrival of Warabi has encouraged Mitarashi’s independence.

Uiro has always shown stable parenting skills since her first son, Ohagi, who happened to be an easy child to raise. Her natural ability as a mother plays a major role. If Mitarashi had been her first child, things might have been much harder. But now, with experience and confidence, she supports all three boys with calm strength.

Warabi, meanwhile, seems to be a low-maintenance baby so far. He is not quite like Ohagi or Mitarashi—he carries a unique presence, a hint of something big. There is a quiet sense of potential around him, making everyone look forward to how he will grow. Under Uiro’s gentle care, each of the three brothers is developing in his own meaningful way.

淡路島モンキーセンターは、兵庫県洲本市南部に位置する野生のニホンザルを身近に観察できる施設です。
ここでは約350頭が群れを形成しており、朝から夕方までモンキーセンターで過ごし、夜は山で過ごします。
ニホンザルは旧世界ザルに分類されるマカク科です。
マカクは、サルの仲間ではもっとも多く、ニホンザル以外だと、ヒヒ、マンドリルなどがいます。
ニホンザルは、全ての猿の仲間では、もっとも北に生息することで、Ｓｎｏｗ　Ｍｏｎｋｅｙとして世界でも有名な存在です。

淡路島に生息するニホンザルは遺伝的にはヤクザルに近いことが研究機関の調査で判明されています。
