In response to comments expressing concern about Kawai's condition immediately after the onset of her stroke, she provided us with private footage filmed by her husband, hoping to encourage others affected by stroke.
Starting next week, Wednesday, January 26th, we will be bringing you weekly footage of Kawai's rehabilitation, with the goal of achieving her jog speed. We hope you will continue to support her!
Profile of Michiko Kawai
In 1983, at the age of 14, she made her debut in the lead role in the film "Shounen Rider," directed by Shinji Somai.
She subsequently appeared in numerous dramas and films, and in 1997, she performed the hit song "Fufu Michi" as Aurora Teruko in the NHK morning drama "Futarikko" (1996-1997), performing the role.
On August 13, 2016, while watching a film rehearsal, she suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and was rushed to the hospital.
She was left with right-sided paralysis.
On September 27, 2016, she was transferred from an acute care hospital to a rehabilitation hospital.
She was discharged from the hospital on January 10, 2017.
She has returned to acting in films, dramas, and stage productions.
She also appears on television, radio, and in magazines as a TV personality, and has given lectures titled "Turn Your Life into Comedy" - Changing Your Perspective Will Expand Your World.

本人も周りの人も大半が暗く沈んでしまうのに どこからこの明るさ、モチベーションの高さが出てくるのか
全快を祈ってます。
コロナの影響で面会がほぼできず、闘病を支えてやれないのが
残念ですが本人は日々努力して元にもどろうとしています。
この動画に励まされ、明るく振舞っていくのが
回復への近道だと思っています。ありがとうございました。
