David Bercot did a message on the Kingdom Parables, years ago. It is definitely worth listening too & studying. One thing he kept saying that I remember is, 'Many who enter the Kingdom of God, in the end will be rejected.' So my understanding is that the kingdom parables were largely written for the saved. That Christians could lose their salvation.

John 15:1-27 (NIV 1984)
Many people of faith say the fruit spoken of in John 15 is the 'fruit of the Spirit.' (Gal 5:22)

Fruit of the Spirit is produced, but I don't think the 'fruit of the Spirit,' is specifically the fruit referred to in the context of John 15:1 - 27. The fruit Jesus is talking about, is saving souls & making disciples.

🍓  Please notice John 15:8; 'This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.'

The heart of Christ is to seek & save the lost & to make disciples.

'Showing yourselves' means living like a disciple of Jesus. A disciple makes disciples.

🍓  This is the great commission & also referred to as 'the master's business' in John 15:15.

🍓  Verse 16, Jesus stated, 'You did not choose me, but I chose you & appointed you to go and bear fruit ---- fruit that will last.'

This reminds me of Jesus commanding his apostles, to 'go and make disciples.' (Mt 28:19)

'Fruit that will last,' means you continue to work with the people you help get saved; so they become strong and faithful. 'Teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.' (Mt 28:20)

'Following Jesus,' is His most often repeated command. Early in His ministry he said, 'Come follow me and I will make you fishers of men.' (Mk 1:17)

🍓  John 15:20, 'If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.' Take note; disciples are teachers, 'teaching others to obey everything Jesus commanded.' (Mt 28:20)

🍓  Verse 27, 'And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning.' 'Testify;' again, the fruit Jesus is referring to, is saving souls & making disciples.

📖  In order to do this; the words of Jesus, must remain in our hearts!

📖  Notice Jn 15:7, it says, 'If you remain in me and my words remain in you . . .'  This is how we 'remain in Jesus and he remains in us,' mentioned 5 times in this passage.

We need to fill our hearts & minds with his word & meditate on it strongly. Then we will be empowered to incorporate these teachings into our lives.

📖  Notice also, Jn 15:2,3, '. . . while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.'

Now notice the footnote 'a' at the bottom of the page. "The Greek for prunes also means cleans."

📖  John 15:2-5;  In order to bear fruit, we must remain in Jesus by remaining in his word & applying it to our hearts & lives!

Does the "free" or "cheap" grace movement fall under the mono? If you're not familiar with that it's all "just believing" and I think when they say that I think it's just a mental knowledge and I don't think that scriptural yes we are to believe but believe means so much more than just mental acknowledgment in my opinion it does anyway. I'm not saying that we work to earn our salvation but Christ clearly says that you will know them by their fruit. I know that in our fallen nature are fruit is not going to be perfect but there has to be some evidence some change that's just how I feel if you could elaborate or correct me I'm willing to to learn thanks
