one of the greatest strikers of all time: gigantic, ruthless, he simply scored, always.

Crazy the sequence of passes of the 1st goal:

MALDINI ⚽➡️ BAGGIO ⚽➡️ VIERI⚽➡️🥅

Respect to Fifa for recognizing how great Vieri was. One of the best pure CF of all time his goal to game ratio was insane. He also went through alot of injuries with his knee so imagine how many more goals he would have had in his career. They dont make players like Bobogol anymore. What a player.

One of the best striker in late 90s and early 00s, his partnership with R9 was potentially one of the deadliest duo. Really unfortunate that they rarely got the chance to play together

Baggio's first touch of the ball!

I always tell people, Vieri was Drogba before Drogba.

Salute to Bobo. Back when I was still a student, this lethal striker left an indelible impression on me. From 1998 to 2024, he was virtually unstoppable. As long as he stayed fit, he bulldozed through defences like an armoured tank. Every pass was aimed for him instinctively; he became the team’s go-to man, a total reliance. He could score with any part of his body except his hands. Among football fans, he stood as the very definition of brute strength and ruthless efficiency. Anyone who watched football in those years will always cherish Christian Vieri—a powerhouse centre-forward, technically superb and utterly uncompromising in his craft.

How Italy could do with a striker like him now. Watching Serie A on channel 4 as a kid growing up in the 90s was an absolute delight. Vialli, Ravanelli, Baggio, Zola, Del Piero... Italy had some absolutely class attacking players.

Fifa really miss italy, so they post this

Amazing how Italy moved ball forward so fast, just 1-2 passes

Vieri played with the best Number 10's Italy ever had: Baggio, Del Piero, Totti.

How I miss the Italy of that era, it was something else entirely

Christian Vieri, Roberto Baggio and Paolo Rossi each scored 9 goals in total playing at the World Cup. But Vieri did it playing in only 9 games. Less games than Baggio (16) and Rossi (14). Impressive.

Italy's golden era

Da romanista... che bomber che era Bobo!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Absolute Ace Striker, goal seems inevitably come when watching him play. No Italian Striker afterward can come close with his quality on Italy National Team. Salute El Toro Bobo

The best bomber real n.9 of Italy ever

Mitico Bobo-gol!!! One of the strongest and most complete Italian centreforwards.

When he was way past his peak at Atalanta he was still able to produce moments of brilliance like a goal from the halfway line against Siena. I hated him that day hahaha but now I miss that era of Italian football

Arguably the best striker in football at the turn of the millennium.
