CRISTINE DESERVES THE GOOD SPOON

iiiii would LOVE to see a try guys try to do their own nail art featuring simply😭

Cristine: “I’m afraid to ruin the spoon”
Ben: ”squeeze it like you were grabbing a breast” 😂

Use the beautiful spoon, Cristine. You deserve the beautiful spoon. ❤😅

In BC in the 80s it was mandatory in my school for everyone in Grade 8 to take home ec, sewing, wood work and metal work.  Today, I appreciate the skills we learned because they were basic life skills.

The support over using the good spoon lol that was so sweet

Ben does have a point. Spoil yourself with only using the good measuring cups and spoons and maybe even not saving the trash for your nail art. You can still have things for special occasions, but if you don't like baking, maybe that's not the area to do that or always think to use the worse thing when, like Ben said, you have worked hard for your success and can definitely afford to not care about it.

I took home ec back in the mid 80s, in middle school so 8th grade.  my class had both guys and girls.  Straight guys, manly guys, the popular guys.  The class was fun and we all learned a lot.  We even had a fashion show after the sewing part, and yes the guys took part in it too.  I wish they still had this class, my youngest would have taken it.  Instead he took culinary classes in tech school during high school.  It was never about being a housewife or etc.  im so saddened that not everyone had that experience.  And can easily see how it was "for girls" in other places and can understand it all.  i myself never wanted to be a mom, or a wife.  I did end up being both and wouldn't change it.  But my life would have been great if that hadn't happened.  Home ec taught cooking skills, sewing skills, and how to just be an adult.  Our teacher was awesome and never made it sexist in any way.

Cris your hair looked so beautiful in this stream.  And please always use the glass measuring cup for liquids, it makes cleanup so much easier especially for sticky or oily liquids.

Ah yes, the good ol’ “wrap it in a paper towel and squeeze it”-breast fondling technique. Simplybooblogical.

I'm confused. "15-20 years ago" I had Home Economics and EVERYBODY HAD TO TAKE IT. It wasn't even an "optional" class. Everybody, girls and boys, had to learn how to cook, sew and clean.

Here in Norway all classes were mandatory, including cooking and gym, all the way until the 10th grade, and in art class we all learned how to sew, do woodwork, knit, make pottery and felt.

That yelp with Ben pitched the foil ball off screen XD

I'm going to start a petition to make Simplys Chaos Cooking Show a regular occurrence 😂😂

Ben, full cover of 'How You Remind Me' when 👀

This NYT Cooking style thumbnail— particularly Sohla & Ham’s Mystery Menu— had me tripping out. 😅

I just wish they had done more teaching on life skills like taxes, mortgages, and things like that vs just teaching how to take the standardized tests at the end of the year. It was always about the tests and not about learning beyond that

Ben was particularly wise today ❤

I took Home Economics about 35 years ago.  Yup, all girls. Took the cooking option because my mom has no patience when training someone to do something she knows how to do. And teachers at school tended to help you out more. Also took sewing after my grandmother taught me.
