Its funny to think you had cubans fighting south africans in Angola at one time. Its like a random word salad.

Crazy to think that Cuba once had such capabilities.

Around 25% of the Cuban military aged male population fought in Angola. That's a higher percentage than Italy's or France's in WW2, and roughly on par with the figures for Spain during their civil war.
No Iberoamerican nation in modern history has ever got anywhere near those figures for any of their military operations, and it probably surpasses even the figures for the independence and post-independence wars of South America.

My new favorite history channel. Any non AI history channel has my unwavering support. So thank you

Remember watching a polish animated movie about the Angola conflict in 1975, very interesting time of history. Wish we learned more about the African conflicts post ww2

My grandpa was a Lt Col in the Cuban Army and was in Angola from 1985-1988. I must say, he hated Castro and what “communism” did to his country, but he supported the operation in Angola against genuine imperialism.

A video explaining your research process for making these videos would be much appreciated

excellent video, unexpected from a military-focused channel but very much enjoyed. keep it up!!

This is great dude, I'd love a series on all of Cuba's interventions during the Cold War.

Thanks!

Keep continued please

The war in Angola was very bad for the people. But situation was very complicated with apartheid in South-Africa and a Cold War going globally.

What da Cuba doin’

Neat.
