As Buenos Aires prepared for one of the biggest matches in football history—England vs Argentina in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Semi-Final—I set out to discover whether this rivalry is really just about football, or whether the history between these two nations is still felt today.

I travelled across Buenos Aires—from Belgrano, Palermo, La Boca, Recoleta, San Telmo, Centro and beyond—asking ordinary Argentinians what England means to them, how they view the rivalry, and whether the events of the past still shape the present.

I also sat down with three special guests—Martina, Bruno and Ramiro—for extended conversations about one of the biggest accusations directed at Argentina today: is it really the most racist country in the world? Rather than reducing these discussions to short clips, this documentary gives them the time to explain their experiences, perspectives and opinions in full.

The final 15 minutes capture one of the greatest matchday experiences of my life as I watched England vs Argentina with locals at Locos x El Fútbol in Recoleta before returning to the Obelisk to witness the unforgettable celebrations after the final whistle.
