Great video. One clarifying note:

Mark Walter is NOT the "majority owner" of the Dodgers.

By definition, a majority owner must own more than 50% of the financial equity.

Mark Walter owns 27% of the Dodgers.

He does not own the remaining 73%.

While he is the "Control Person" (MLB term), meaning he breaks ties, it is not accurate to report that he is the majority owner. Nor can he unilaterally "sell the team."

By contrast, he is/was the majority owner of the Lakers (at approx 65% ownership stake).

People who pay insurance premiums should not be worried about the Dodgers spending on salaries. There is zero benefit to policy holders only the prospect of higher policy rates to acquire more talent for the Dodgers. Perhaps if you’re a Dodgers fan you don’t mind that but if you’re a policy holder that doesn’t even like baseball, you might be pissed off

Lived in Orange Cty for almost 20 years. I am a Yankee fan. The Dodgers have had some great coaches, Alston, Lasorda. Great players and great ownership from days gone by. The lady in this video, Melody, was given some tough questions to answer but gracious enough to tell the truth, she soesn't know. What comes to mind is the fact that one guy, Walter, has his neck in many major sports ownerships. The defferals for the likes of Ohtani are going to be the center of attention once the Feds take this over and the Feds will. There are a lot of hands in the ownership of the Dodgers so lets hope Walter is the main one being in question.

Ohtani has an out if Walter’s name is not part of the partnership agreement and should have the dodgers nervous. It’s not just them but the Chelsea FC ,Cadillac F1 team and the entire PWHL league are also affected by this situation and it feels like a kushner family shakedown for a start ….federal government pressure forces them to sell the lakers in 72 hrs is not normal at all in sports and especially with the amount of money involved

Scott definitely tried to pull every bit (peeling an onion) piece of information out of her; get her to explain in simple terms regarding the possible fraudulent insurance practice—she just can’t respond coherently. I love people reporting that "Ohtani has an out, a Key Man clause". Should Guggenheim fall into deeper legal trouble and not manage to sell the Dodgers, but instead declare a convenient bankruptcy, Shohei Ohtani will be an unsecured creditor standing in line will all of the other regular stiffs who aren't corporations and annuities with liens. Not likely to happen under current circumstances but things could change. Deferred money could become a relic.

Tucker and Diaz both cost LA 83 million in disappointment in 2026. Tucker rumors before free agency started that Tucker was not motivated or cared about baseball anymore. Obviously body and both fielding and batting are not worth 60 million a year. My Yankees dodged a bullet. New York, thank you for both choices made, Dodgers

Conspiracy’s everywhere like, why, did Shohei Ohtani have clauses in his contract about specific individuals either selling the team or stepping down years in advance if he didn’t know something was going on? Cmon. I know, he didn’t know about losing $17 million out of his checking account either…. When does it stop? My teams owner, tho not exactly the Teflon Don, had to pay thru his nose to be able to get into the MLB to buy the Mets due to his past experiences. Too many unknowns
