You’re probably starting to understand why the older generation can’t stand today’s game.

It's amazing how great of best friends they became.

They saved the NBA.  NBA was on verge of collapsing no sponsor couldn't give away tickets TV rating's in trash.

They saved the nba, and you could argue, they kind of reduced racism in the process in society

These two gentlemen WON 3 out of every 4 games they ever played in their NBA careers!

If these 2 guys stayed healthy and played 15-17 seasons, their numbers and rings would be insane

This damned documentary is by far, the best. Even if it makes me ugly cry. These two men are exceptional. We are so lucky to have been able to witness their story. That's real connection, bigger than the petty bullshit of  conscious distraction we get caught up in & ignore the realness & vulnerability of being human...together, all of us. I thank them, and you for giving me this reaction to enjoy. This sheds a whole different light on them. ❤

Love Magic but if you’re ever in a foxhole Bird is the guy you want next to you!

Here we go. Best documentary ever.

yeah this is why the newer generations attitude of lets all team up and win a championship together or lets trade jerseys at any opportunity or lets not play too hard against each other so that no one looks bad or doesnt get paid gets so much hate from older players and fans.  its not because we are bitter its because we grew up understanding that they only way to truly be great was to play hard play physical and you had to want to beat the other guy and rip out his heart.  it made you better as a player and gave you so much more respect for the man you played against.

This is why us old people hate today 's game  everyone is buddy buddy as you can see back then they  hated each other

I'm glad you watched the documentary! They did save the NBA, Jordan took it globally. Bird played competitively and had great games. Bird played through more injuries that just his back. You have to watch some of the matchups he had that altogether made him Larry legend. That's why so many greats that played with him respect him so much and that includes Michael Jordan. Sorry so much was muted. They probably did that so they wouldn't get copyrighted. Great reaction ❤

I've watched this show 50 times it's the best

This video always makes me tear up.......thank you for reacting to this documentary young man, it's great to see our youth, learn about the older days 😊

I was a Laker fan and loved Magic’s playing along with that personality.  Even though I witnessed Larry Bird’s great playing against the Lakers, I am only now appreciating his greatness along with Magic’s.

I'm really glad that you watched the video right through rather than break it up into three parts which is what most people do.  I know if I watch the first part I would have to watch the rest of it before I went back with it on YouTube.   But when you do the whole thing at once like you have you get authentic reactions and you really are aware of the game,  aware of the human condition and it was nice watching your reaction.  Really good.

I remember when the NBA playoff games were on a 2 am on a tape-delay.  Getting things back in prime time was all due to Larry & Magic - so yes, they saved the NBA.  MJ took it to new levels, but he wouldn't have had the chance to if not for Magic & Bird, first. . . . really enjoyed watching you watch that.  :)

Larry Bird had a crazy fight with Bill Laimbeer (Pistons).  I don't know who hates Bill Laimbeer more, Bird or Jordan.  Lambeer tried to injure both for sure.
There's a vid which would be great to see your reaction -- its called something like "Larry Bird fights and heated moments" .
Thanks for an amazing reaction!
🙏❤😇

Two supremely talented players, team oriented both, pushing each other to unparalleled heights in their sport. I'm glad I got to witness it in real time. The game today is a shell of it's former self.

Thanks for reacting to this documentary. Bird's my guy. But I love Magic too.
