I would suggest that for a betrayal 30 or even 50 years later the INFJ is still experiencing it.

For years, I have felt that I will never do or be enough. I'm 56 and I still don't know who I am. I super appreciate your closing words. "You are allowed to need things. You are allowed to be messy, and unfinished and uncertain. You are allowed to not have it all figured out. You are allowed to just be a person; not a purpose, not a role. You are allowed to not be the wisest person in the room, just a person and that is more than enough." Thank you, I needed to hear them.

no 8: it helps to avoid getting into the same situation.. if you don't archive it, you'll tend to tolerate it until it hurts you again.
no 10: well, people don't like to hear the truth.. never ever.. they like the truth they want to hear.

I absolutely hate it when I agree to meet friends and then when I get there, extra people have joined us. Instead of being pleased I start fuming inside and find it hard to relax. I think to myself: this is not what I signed up for. Over time I’ve learned that I am quite inflexible and hate surprises, but I always smile and pretend I’m cool with it.

I’m older now and most of these don’t affect me anymore because I truly avoid people and drama. It’s so freeing. I gave up helping anyone other than my two grandsons. Adult grandsons. They’re independent but as my daughter, their mother, crossed, I’m here as emotional support. Everyone else can go ———. I’m an infj lone wolf. I’d never want to regress to being a regular infj again. Ever.

INFJ here and I did laugh at “they complicate everything”🤣. I’m curious as to why you think we don’t laugh at ourselves? I thoroughly enjoy laughing at my/our idiosyncrasies 😁.

Wenzes is the only YouTuber I know that promotes healthy INFJ behaviour and doesn’t define us by our early stages.

I think I have grown in most of these areas. As an INFJ you can improve and adapt in helpful ways over time. Some of these stresses come more in the early years until you feel comfortable with yourself.
