The Misfits, Samhain, Danzig. You may have heard of them, but are unaware of the full impact Glenn Danzig, his music, and his influence. In this compilation of previous videos of mine, I will dissect his humble Punk Rock beginnings, his Goth side, and his current-day metal mastery. Please sit back, relax, and scream with me, for one Last Caress!

Happy Halloween!!! Sorry I couldn't get you guys a completely new video, the KISS Retrospective is in the works and should be up hopefully within a month or two.

In the meantime I hope you enjoy going back to these videos, or maybe seeing them for the first time.

First four Danzig albums are nothing short of incredible

All of the Danzig lore in one place, nice!

Samhain and first 4 Danzig records are an absolute must listen. Danzig 4 is also my fav record from the band. Still have OG pressing.

I’m from Lodi. Glen lived up the street from me on MacArthur ave. They were about 10 years older than me and my friends but everybody knew them and loved them.

@SuperRoo_22 11 months ago

Danzig 4 is easily my favourite Danzig album too. Everything about it is great.

I still go back to Samhain every now and then. His best work. Got the boxset for my 16th birthday back in the day…

Samhain was ALWAYS my favourite. Totally ahead of their time 💀💀💀

its always wild the take older guys get from the misfits vs the younger generation, when i was a teen it was all punk now there are 50 different kinds of punk, like the misfits our horror dark post punk instead of just punk rock

Fun listening to a young guy rate these records. I was 13 when Earth AD came out, so I was in Glenn’s pocket since then. Saw him live so many times, in every version of Misfits, Samhain and Danzig. Met him twice and he was very friendly.

I can't help but feel Glenn was blessed with his voice, but cursed with his ego.

regardless, Danzig I and II might be my fav albums of all time, which is a hard thing to pin down.

32:05 Earth ad hands down the best misfits album ever!!!!

If you look at all the debut releases of the 1970s punk bands, Static Age is hard to beat. One of my favorite albums of all time in any genre.

I've loved Misfits since the 90's, when I was barely a teenager. The first three Danzig records are excellent too. Didn't have Internet back then, just my dad's old LP's and the mystique was real. Then came the industrial Danzig, kitty litter meme's, the grainy video of him getting clocked out like Glass Joe etc. A couple of years ago I tried to listen to Skeletons, watch his attrocious movie...it was goddamn depressing. But hey, gotta hand it to Glenn and his short king energy. He kept his head and stuck to his vision. He didn't surf on the trends (too much), or used outside writers like KISS. Have a bootleg shirt of him, where Danzig is topless and seems to be choking a black kitten. Always brings a smile to my face. You always have the memories and the early albums. They make you forget his movies and that dreadfull Elvis cover album.

Great deep dive, also the one with Kiss is excellent. Nice to see, when young people talk about The Misfits and it isn't automatically the "Dig up her bones"-pop shit.

The Glenn Danzig era of The Misfits will always be my favorite

@RomulusIronside 2 months ago

1:36:44 Dungeon Synth is a perfect name for it, too. We used to use it for the soundtrack of game nights sometimes, way back when.

@JoeyArmstrong2800 11 months ago

I always found it strange that the Misfits initially unreleased material and alternative versions were some of their best.

Best Danzig documentary ever!!! Seen Danzig live 3 times! He high fived me in front row in 2013 in Houston! 3rd greatest time of my life! Only behind marriage and my kids birth, yo. Danzig is my fav singer.
