This is crazy accurate as a depiction of a typical Filipino party

The only unrealistic part is that the lechon hadn't been stripped to the bone yet. With that many guests, it wouldve been ravaged.

“Sup Jesus” as a Christian: 😂

I did not expect a picture of Jesus. And the casual “Sup, Jesus” killed me even more 😂

As someone who was bullied for being the only Asian in my class, especially around Covid era to the point where my classmates were socially distancing themselves from me bc they thought they would be infected

Seeing my culture on the big screen represented with love healed a part of me

Mabuhay ka!!🇵🇭

Raissas mom sounds exactly like my mom when shes talking in her sister n the phone😭

You can tell Raissa’s parents see Jo as a bad influence. All the more reason to send their daughter overseas.

I’m not Filipino but as a fellow seabling, i wonder why in every party there’s always this 50s unc who genuinely has the most beautiful voice and decided to dip

That lip point is as accurate as a homing missile and always works

3:26 Jesus: Gurl, you done goofed up now. 😑

The way they all ate the Jollibee when they got here

Never imagined DreamWorks would be mogging Disney so hard in animation. They always went head to head with with one popular movie over the another. I hope DreamWorks doesn't go down the Disney path and make a trash live action of it within less than 5yrs from it's release.

Jo: sup Jesus

Oh my fucking god this is so accurate😭 This is coming from a 100% full Filipino guy born in the states that knows NOTHING about my culture. The lechon, that one photo of Jesus, blessing ur elders, the mfs doing karaoke on one of those shitty machines, etc. This is gold.

Dreamworks has this awesome Filipino animated movie. They nailed down the Filipino culture and traditions, especially the Lechon, the karaoke with songs like “On the Wings of Love”, and even the words like “Lechon”, “Tita”, “Ay Naku”, “Diba”, “Maganda”, “Salamat Po”, etc.

Napakaganda ng pelikulang ito. Magandang trabaho, Dreamworks.

1:43 and 3:26
LOL real subtle of them to change Jesus' facial expression from "It's great seeing you child" to "I'm disappointed in you child"

3:08 my dad listened to the song and boom, acts crazy!

As an Air Force brat born in the Philippines I am excited for this. While I’m not a true Filipino I certainly remember the culture and vibes.

3:08 Jo’s a party animal and the best part was that she burned the food 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣also this is the first time I’m hearing this song in a Dreamworks movie since SharkTale and the first time a Dreamworks character is singing this song since Donkey from Shrek basically first Shrek, then SharkTale, now Forgotten Island

3:01 No one embarrases Raissa! No one!
