I'm new to collecting F&I / REV WAR artifacts. Was fortunate enough to purchase, from a well-known collector here in the states, a seal made from a copper nail, engraved 'Part of the Wreck of the Royal George. Sunk 1782. Recovd. 1839' and a ship's timber paperweight, in the form of a book, etc. If you Google search it you can see it for yourself. Thank you for the video. Really cool and very informative.

20seconds in and ALREADY....
NEVER, NEVER, "The H.M.S. ....." (The His/Her Majesty's Ship), JUST "H.M.S. ...."
Royal George (as this was BEFORE the H.M.S suffix) was anchored at the Royal Navy anchorage in the Solent, (Spithead) which is 1 mile from Ryde on the Isle of Wight, half a dozen miles OUTSIDE of Portsmouth Harbour.

This has already made my teeth itch!
Sincerely, an amateur historian living within pistolshot of her remains.
