Back in my day we used to eat cell phones

Their intelligence actually wasn't far off from us. If not the same then it's just slightly less intelligent. Their bodies just require so much fuel and energy to sustain that an abrupt change in environment killing off animals thus limiting their food could impact Neanderthals greatly.

The idea of villages hidden from society would go crazy if there was one with a significant amount of neanderthal DNA

idk why but saying “D. Mon” instead of “demon” has been killing me 😂

Basically, humans are cheetahs and neanderthals were tigers. We ran animals down, and they were like, "SURPRISE MF!!!!"

15:15 this is a very common misconception and I don't blame you at all, but in the same way that gorillas and chimps are both Apes. Homo Sapiens and Neanderthals are both human. At some point there was up to 5 different species of human living together at the same time that were all specialized a little differently

watches a reaction to a video “hey this guy’s talking too much i just wanted to watch the video” THEN GO WATCH THE VIDEO DAWG NOBODY’S HOLDING YOU HERE 😂😂

Yoo sage 15:41 like how dogs are canines humans and Neanderthals are both in the Homo genus, humans are Homosapiens and Neanderthals are Homoneanderthalensis so yeah we’re both in the Human species but they are a different sub species of human like how lions and tigers are both panthers but they aren’t the same species

neanderthals had the same intelligence as us

6:40 we didnt get crossbows for ages bro like only a few thousand years ago in like China i believe, and they werent very good for a while. We are actually pretty similar in terms of brains and tech at the time, some people say they were smarter than us. Humans had bigger groups and were more social. That was more the deciding factor in my opinion, better coordination and just greater numbers. Good chance that Homo Sapiens were actually more aggressive and violent too, since we had more people to feed and one guy dying meant less we were more likely to attack them.

15:30 essentially it was modern humans who hunted by stamina, and we didnt kill the Neanderthals till they were extinct, we simply outhunted them. Because we were so efficient (our bodies require much less food) we essentially starved them to extinction

If a peak Neanderthal and an early Homo Sapien took turns giving each other one hit to the jaw, the Homo Sapien (first) would likely do damage to their own knuckles and wrist, and might somewhat rattle the Neanderthal. But when he gets his turn, he'd have the power to cause multiple jaw fractures, instant unconsciousness, and potentially fatal brain damage, from one punch.

8:16 Their spears aren’t even coming close to what sapiens(modern humans are all sapiens) are making. Bro we don’t even even need crossbows we would just make spears that could fly much faster and pick them off in the groups that they were in(much smaller than us)
