It has been over three months since the last video, how time flys. Besides working full time, I have been busy here with work around the property and family things. July and August always seems to be very busy months, this year even more so. I have finally been able to finish this project off, or to at least get it operational. This video was taken at various points in the last three months as the rebuild progressed.

That is not a starting rope it is a starting strap. Starting ropes are so much easier to use.

Very nice work. Sure like to see it running.

Is there something wrong with it? It doesn't have a smoke cloud like mine, LOL.
Good job!

25 yrs ago, there was an ad about an estate sale, Friday night...it listed a rototiller. Sunday rolls around, i call and ask if it still there, she says yeah. I drive over theres people waking in 3 and 4 wide and out also. A lady walks out, i ask about the tiller, she points halfway into drive way, a 1957 LS with a plow on it, with wheels, i didn't know what it was but said I'll buy it, how much, she said 35 dollars. I couldn't get the cash out fast enough, it came with the cultivator. And the original manual. It was her dad's, also was the original owner. I've rebuilt the plow cutting edges by using worn rotary lawnmower blades, and using a stick welder, they work great. The cultivator seals and bearings were ran way past worn out, so i had to improvise a bearing retainer, it worked. 1 of the large gearbox that the vertical plow shaft went through, the lower double lipped seal was put in with a lip chocked sideways so i transferred the lower to the upper, other wise it was over a 100.00 for a new one. The crank shaft has always had over a 1/4 in play in it, it's ran for 26 years. From a wornout state, i should rebuild it if it ever wears out, but it'll most likely out live me.
