I order an universal hydraulic oil filter but it needs to be adapted to the machine and I make some other improvements.

Battery positive always first on and last off. Nice video.

My dad always made up his own hydraulic hoses with reusable hydraulic hose fittings. just screw them together. don't have to worry about it hydraulic press squeezing it down.
If you ever blow a hydraulic hose just take the fittings off and put them on the next hose.
They are not as common as they used to be because they were hard to find. Because I like to put them on my air hoses to.
Some hydraulic shops still carry them.

The HR12/AGT12 mahcines really are lacking in things as we found out when we got ours. Some of the newer models have the missing things.

We not only put on the filter for the hydraulic fluid, but we added a cooler with a fan too.

We also put in a cushioning valve for the slew motor. These machines are known for snapping the gear off the end of the slew motor when you're spinning the cab and stop suddenly because there's nowhere for the pressure to go. Highly recommend it.

I would also recommend getting an adjustable valve for the boom to help with the jerky up and down motion (mostly the down). It reduces the pressure a bit which can increase heat buildup, but that's what the cooler is good for.

Those would be the three main things to upgrade, everything else is just gravy. Now, if only I could figure out a way to stiffen the cage so it's not bouncing around so violently when moving forward.

Did you go back and tighten the swivel bolt joint at positive terminal just behind battery clamp?

Very good work. Cutting the hose was the way to go, especially since you have access to the crimper!
I don't see the parts list that you mentioned, I am interested in seeing that, Thanks

The green and yellow wire is for the ground red is for the positive side of dc voltage .. But great video

Could you not have gotten an elbow adaptor coming out of the tank to to replace the straight adaptors that would have made the modification without moving the line and battery....a bracket could have been installed in the back....possibly....

You should always weld a plate on the part of the machine then weld the hook to the plate so that the hook doesn't brake off and leave a hole in the buckets .

That positive lead installation was a butt clencher.

Yeah - the battery hold down on these machines sucks

Would it be possible to open up the access hole for the battery to make install and removal easier? Or would the floor be too weak after? I’d like one of those mini-exs to play around with, not sure it would be better than the backhoe on the skidsteer for break out force and dig depth, but for around the house and to use quickly it would be fun.
