The ATMs in GTA IV do serve one function: On occasion, NPCs will use them. If you then kill said NPC, they will usually drop a lot of money - obviously the cash they just withdrew from the ATM.

Many of these “useless” features add up to make the world feel alive

I use those underground stations when I'm getting chased by oppressors

The duck does actually work. You cant hide in the car you get a wanted level with though, as they know what car your driving so hiding does nothing. You need to switch cars while they are searching for you (outside the big blue raidus thing) then you can duck. At least thats how it worked for me.

learning to properly fly dodo is one of the most satisfying things ever, i could fly it for several minutes straight

I have 200+ hours on gta 4 and i didn't know there is a functional cable car till this video

I use the ducking feature more for trying to not get shot in the head. Works a little better with armored vehicles with metal plates on the windows

the car wash gives your vehicle an additional layer of gloss that lsc doesn't provide

I would say that 8-Ball's shop in San Andreas is more forgetful than the 1 in Vice City, but I never knew about the one in Vice City

The ducking mechanic is very useful for Career Progress in GTA Online. Helps a lot to complete the 50% health challenges with Kuruma armored as the enemies can still shoot through (after they patched it which many updates before only barely could).

2:36 you're wrong on that, the cops keep on shooting as long as they recognize the car youre in, with a new car it works, your bliper will be grey.

2:14 ducking down actually helps you reduce damage of shots fired at you but influences your maneuverability

no wonder "San Andreas" has such an amount of unfinished features or even cut content. just look at how many details they still managed to squeeze into that one "little" game. if the technical limits of the PS2 had been higher and with more time for completion, who knows what Rockstar also might have added.

11:23 GTA NPCs not beating the horrible driving allegations

1:51 this feature is actually great for passengers as they duck down lower. say in an online heist, u can avoid a ton of damage and losing money that you’re carrying by ducking in a vehicle.

8:47 Facts! And Sweet has the nerve to tell you that you did nothing for the grove family while he's sitting in his house, doing noting most of the time. Talking about projection 😂

11:43 I spent so much time trying to “import” rival gang members into areas that held, but weren’t big enough to spawn them to 100% that. Also, getting a bus was a fun way to move Grove Street Family members around the map. I can’t remember the capacity of the bus, but the day trips were fun

14:07 🙅🙆💁🔫 The NPC was accidentally pressed emote button 😂😂

when you actually figure out how to fly the Dodo, it's actually pretty fun. You can reach a lot of areas you'd never normally be able to see, such as inside the stadium, Donald Love's roof, and if you do it right, you can reach the hidden package on the lift bridge right from the start of the game

I found the taking gang territory feature in San Andreas somewhat useful in the early game to have places to go and not be attacked by random gang members, like if you just wanted to go to the burger shop or gym it was nice to not get attacked.
