Love this man with all my heart, 37 years old now. Memories of a world that don’t exist anymore.

My favorite story about him is kinda sad. After the IRS took all his possessions, Frank Cullotta’s crew broke in his house. They were going to rob the house before the IRS got there. They felt so bad they got there too late that they left Redd a $20 on his counter.

Guys like Redd Foxx and Richard Pryor used to scare TV hosts to death. They were afraid their show would get cancelled for something they said. That alone made it worth watching.
