It's South Texas, not Southern Texas. We don't say Western, Eastern, Northern, or Southern. It's West Texas, East Texas, North Texas, South Texas.

Otters and Ocelots are making a comeback in South Texas. I believe there has been talk of making land bridges for wildlife to cross?

Well done. At 73, I’ve lived in South Texas during 3 separate decades 1950-60’s, 1980-90’s and 2010- present day, and have to say well done, you did an excellent job.

I’d like to add that within the 30 features in South Texas you covered, each feature has a lifetime of wonder to explore. Again, well done.

Excellent video on the South Texas geography and terrain. Very fascinating facts that I as a native Texan did not know. It makes you appreciate what we have here in the great Lone Star State.

You missed one of the most amazing, El Solatario inside Big Bend Ranch State Park. A 7 mile wide volcanic caldera so dry there is no evidence of any permanent human habitation in history. It's clearly visible on Google Earth about 5 miles north of Lajitas, TX. It looks like a large meteor crater on Google Earth.

As a Texas native, I've been telling people all my life that Texas ain't just flat, we literally have everything. Mountains, forests, rivers, plains, deserts, beaches, ETC. No one ever believes me.

Being that I lived in the RGV during the first 40+ years of my life, and getting my Bachelors of Biology at UTPA, Dr. Edward’s, Dr. Brush, Dr Gunn and the rest of my professors made sure I knew a lot of this. I tickles me pink that people will learn about the amazing place the RGV really is.

I was born as south in Texas as you can go. It's known as the Rio Grande Valley. It was a quiet and livable area. Now it has boomed with people
South Padre was an hour drive from home.

For anybody wanting to do a road trip. Go from Balmoreah state park, to Big Bend national park, to Del Rio, Laredo, to the RGV, to south padre island. I did it, cant wait to do it again

I vividly remember crossing into Mexico near Tornillo, Texas, in 1969. I looked down, and there was a sandy strip. "Where's the Rio Grande River?" I asked. "Oh, they take all the water out upstream", my friend told me.

I was born in Alpine Texas. Now I live in the San Antonio area now. I travel the area alot. My family came from the Chisos Mountains. My grandfather is buried in Terlingua. I graduated from Sul Ross State University. From the hill country of San Antonio to the Big Bend National Park is my stomping ground. ❤❤
