Upper West Side, Upper East Side, Billionaire's Row, Gramercy Park,  Sutton Place, Hudson Yard, Tribeca, the West Village, Greenwich Village,  Soho.... seems like practically all of Manhattan south of 104th Street is the haunt of the ultra-wealthy.

This is all I do when I visit NYC anymore. I've been so many times but, I recommend this to anyone. Pick a day, pick a neighborhood and just walk. Stop in to eat on the fly, try new things as you go. There are so many endless possibilities. No need to overplan and perhaps miss so many things.

New York should be paying you big bucks for these videos.. not even playing.. what better guide to nyc than this.. whether its for tourism or to move there… the camera work, the history, the knowledge and you just know all the spots and you do it in such a smooth way… if everyone watched ur videos before they visited NYC they would appreciate it more and know some other spots to check out

You have helped me so much in understanding Manhattan and its neighborhoods. My daughter moved to NY for law school and  relocated permanently after graduating. I can now hold my own with her when she discusses neighborhoods she would like to move to next. Yes, I agree that The El Dorado more than likely has pulled out their summer landscaping in preparation for its fall installation. You can tell by looking at the drip irrigation lines which proves they probably had annual plants in place.

Beautiful Dakota building. RIP John Lennon. ❤

I did a bit of research on brownstones because I really love them. The stoops are what gives them character. Back in the day (the gilded age) there were people riding horses and in horse drawn carriages. There was tons of manure in the dirt streets. So the stoops in front of buildings protected the people who lived inside the brownstones with the higher level from the ground where all the poop was.

BTW I just discovered this channel and it is my new favorite thing. Thanks so much for sharing the greatest city in the world with us.

Speaking of parking, I see a lot of cars but no where to park.

I have got to tell you that you have the best show that i have ever seen on line, your so informational with your detailed walks, i have also just subscribed to your channel and gave it a like, just keep going my friend your onto what hundreds haven't discovered yet.

This is beautifully done, thank you for the tour.  I’m watching from Novato CA in northern Marin County.

Amazing tour and your narration is actually top-tier. Thanks.

I've thoroughly enjoyed your videos since I discovered your channel recently.
I've especially enjoyed this one as I just spent a week staying in the upper west side while roaming the entire city in the first week of July.
I'm an amateur architecture buff myself, and I really enjoy the appreciation you have for the buildings.
When I arrived in NYC I had over 60 locations (many of them being distinctive buildings) on my must see list, and you've given me more for my next visit.
NYC is one of the great cities of the world, and you do a lovely job of showing it.
Thank you.

Thank you Tom for this video and all your walking tours full of information plus reccomendations etc. Enjoyed this as usual.

Looking forward to seeing all these beautiful green trees turn gold.

I stayed on 94th upper Westside on Broadway when I visited NYC a few years ago,it was an amazing place just to walk around especially when we came away from all the tourist places we visited during the day, when we go back I'll be staying well out of midtown because staying in upper Westside has a more calming influence

There is a beautiful Haussmannian building a few blocks north of the El Dorado called the St. Urban.  It’s one of my favorite buildings on CPW, and it looks exactly like many of the Haussmannian buildings in 16eme in Paris.

Love it thank you for doing this ❤
